What they've allowed to happen with the footbal program should qualify as malfeasance IMO.

Ultimately it’s the governor of the state that appoints the BOTs

I know but, once appointed, I think the only reason they can be removed prior to the completion of their term is for cause OR a majority vote from the rest of the board or something like that. I don't see any of them voting any of the others off the island. Or at least not enough of them, if it's true half support Hunter and half don't.

If you get rid of Silverfield, we are still stuck with Yuracheck.
If you get rid of Yuracheck, the university president and chancellor will just replace him with another Yuracheck.
None of those two will make a move on Yuracheck.
This is why he hasn't been fired.
Fans need to put pressure on the BOT.

‘Saw something on Instagram that’s worth repeating: “ It appears the bottom has a basement. “ ??
We are about to find out if there is a bottom basement Saturday.

I find this hard to believe with all the oil money in South Louisiana.
I'm calling BS on this article

When LSU had an incompetent AD the governor of the state said the AD wouldn’t be allowed to choose the next coach. He was soon fired. In Louisiana the politicians understood how important it is for the flagship university to have a successful sports program. It’s good for the whole state. They’ll find the money.
Our politicians could learn a lesson and put pressure on the university to get rid of this incompetent bean counter AD.

You know who our governor is right? She’d rather send billions to Israel than to our football team. She has no understanding of sports ball or what it means to the state.

Yeah, very little confidence she will do anything except position herself to run for president at some point.
If she ever wants my vote, she had better do her part to fix Razorback football!!!!

It just speaks to how accurate Calipari and others are when they've said how much debt these schools are taking on to try and win now and why it was never sustainable. People talk of a sports bubble and that is definitely one that will pop soon as the LSU's, Indiana's, Ohio State's keep taking out huge loans and accruing massive debt to field these overpriced teams they can't afford.
I don't think the average fan even knows these schools are taking out huge loans against the university itself including academics and student fees to pay for them. FSU athletics is over $500M in debt the most in the nation, with nothing to show for it. Indiana at least won a title but made no money for it and had to take out a $60M loan earlier this year.

There’s a positive and negative quality of Arkansans, loyalty, that HY enjoys to his benefit here. We have the same political figures over and over for the same reason. It takes a significant move of public opinion to change.
These are and have been the facts for quite sometime.

You think these institutions are going to do what? Go bankrupt?
fricking comical. They’re too big to fail and they know it. They’ll get bailed out. Somehow someway they know they’ll be okay. But I see why you’re a Yurachek guy now, you think just like he does, with little understanding of reality.

Arkansas athletics is a billion dollar franchise that’s being run like a Burger King that just had a Chick-fil-a open up across the street. HY is incapable of doing anything other than managing the decline.
