I don’t expect Blocker or Fall to start next year. At least not at first.

I also can easily see TB, Council and Walsh all leave. I know what Walsh was quoted heavily as saying but he also ended that conversation with a vague comment that made it sound not as certain.

Ideally TB, Walsh and Devo return at the least. That would be a nice core to build around if we could then go out and find two guys that are buckets.

I’ve seen some media speculation Pinion stays but Ford leaves. Need the other way around.

Graham & The Twins have no free transfers left so they would have to sit out a year. Graham and the Mitchell’s either go overseas or come back. They aren’t sitting one year to play one year.

Or muss just tells them their spots taken next year.

Dunning I could see him going back home to Auburn or Alabama.

I would much rather have Pinion. He at least showed flashes as a freshman and you can never have too many 6'5" 3PT shooters.

He's exactly what this team needs next year with further development, not booted.

Walsh and TB especially could parlay another year into millions more $$ in their NBA contracts.

TB is basically a lottery pick with a full season and that means fully guaranteed 8-figure deals. Right now he may not even get drafted.

Walsh could also go from a guy who barely gets drafted to a 1st round pick.

They are different than Ricky or even JWill last year, who needed to strike while they were in draft boards at all.

That’s why I think the ultimately do come back. I’m always uneasy though considering all the on the fence guys we’ve lost over the years.

I just don’t see why Council would stay. He went from 6th man at Wichita State to knocking on the 1st round of the draft this year. Don’t take a risk by coming back for one more. It’s a gamble as he doesn’t have the same elevated ceiling as TB and Walsh do.

Agree with all of this, which is why I think they both come back and council leaves

Given the reason for his low playing time, I don't know why Graham would come back. I'd love to have him, but I assume he'd need to vastly improve on defense to get significant playing time.

I know the portal has made college basketball crazy, but I wish that Muss would make a greater effort to retain players already on campus. The experience is worth it, imo.

What's the deal with Markquis Nowell for KSU, who played for UALR last season? Did we recruit him?

The skinny from the Rivals guru guy is this:

Devo, Dunning and Pinion the most likely to stay of the current roster. Ya'll are insane if you "want" Dunning to leave. He's a 3 and D type of NBA potential guy and had the highest vertical of anyone on the team. He's 6-6, #1 player in Bama and 18-19 years old. Exactly the type of dude we need developing in the program.

Ford is up in the air. Lot's of rumors about his family/people being mad at how little he played.

Brazile likely staying as he doesn't really have a draft grade but things can change. Walsh and Council will be like Williams. Likely gone, but things can change quickly with those types.

NSJ and Black are top 20 picks. Gone. Twins and Graham also assumed to be gone.

Coaches are looking for a versatile big, experienced PG and a reliable shooter in the portal. No surprise.

Walsh, Council and Brazile will dictate a lot of the portal activity. Also no surprise.

I'm fine with the twins and Graham leaving. We need actual physical bigs for once. Hoping, we can get Graham Ike here of the players that are supposedly interested.

Council I can see leaving.

Walsh has all of the potential which is what the draft is all about but he should stay, develop, and gain confidence. Confidence, offensively, is the biggest thing holding him back.

Brazile, although should be drafted, likely won't be. I doubt he'd cleared medically before the Draft Combine were to happen.

Devo, Walsh, Brazile, and either Pinion or Ford would be a pretty good base to build with.

I would personally like Makhi back too

RC4 I'm ambivalent. I think we can find someone with a similar skillset that can shoot better.

I'd love to have Council back. You can't replace his leadership and experience in the system. I agree though we can/need to find a better shooter or two.

Too short for Muss. Defensive liability.

ETA-Not to mention leaving the team at UALR and being somewhat of a headcase.

This, and not that great on defense. Has the tools though and appears to have the drive and motor. I think if he spent another year with Muss, and worked on his shot, he'd be a solid first round pick for sure.

Walsh just needs confidence. It's like he's just a little bit off from being great.

Unless we can upgrade greatly, I think we keep whomever wants to stay. And those that are so down on Dunning baffle me. I'm pretty sure Muss was very upfront with all 3 of them that playing time their first year would be sparse. Not that they wouldn't be given a chance. As for Ford's crew. I think he's all Hog. Who was he supposed to play over? Use this year to assess your weaknesses, get in where you can and practice against some one and dones. He reminds me of Arlen Bowers, but a little taller I believe. Hopefully, he stays long enough develop his game and leave his mark on the program.

Walsh needs to work on his 3 point shot. Council needs to abandon his.

I really hope all 3 bench freshman stay. They were all top 100 recruits. Those type players develop into really good JRs and SRs.
