Any P5 football team that doesn't know how to work the hell out of the portal is about to get left in the dust.

This has potential for programs to really be able to rebuild fast, but it also has potential for the powerhouses to get an even bigger talnet advantage.

I can see someone like Kiffin raking in transfers.

Pittman needs to go have a crash course with "The Imorter" with quickness.

Smart of Pitt to hang on to those last few schollies. Hopefully we can pick up a couple of interior D-linemen this summer.

And maybe a kicker or punter.

I think this could help us tremendously. We're not close to any recruiting hotbeds. I think it would be much easier to convince a 20yo to leave their home state than a 17yo.

Between this and getting a second chance st some in stste talent could be a good deal. I could especially see us as a gateway to sec for transfers thst wanna play now

The best thing for Pittman is starting June he will be able to host recruits on campus for the FIRST time since he's been our head coach.

Official visits. Unofficial visits. Camps. Tours.

All of it.

The only helps us IMO. There will be 4 and 5 star players that won't get to play due to the depth chart and will be looking for playing time.

Agreed. It's going to make it much tougher for the blue bloods to stockpile these 5* kids at every position without eventually losing them to transfer.

This could finally allow us to battle for the title of 10th or 11th best team in the conference.

I hate to give you credibility... But, I can't really disagree overall.

Only with Petrino and a much less strong SEC with Nutt has it been better than the above for me to watch personally at games.

I find it more letting A&M in so Texas kids could stay in Texas and play in the sec.

That’s great but it’s not like he’s the only coach that’s going to get a bump from this. It’s been an even playing field.

Or could it be that we had the worst two coaching hires (3 if you can’t John L) in Razorback football history back to back which dropped us into a pit of despair and made some of the more smooth brained members of the fan base who can’t remember past 5 years, think that we will never be good at football and never were?

That’s it. Every other season been mediocre, bad, or absolutely terrible. We have a losing conference record since we joined the SEC.

What are you saying then? That we can compete in this conference based on two good years with Petrino? The other 27 years are less of an indicator than the two Petrino years?

It hurts programs like Arkansas much more because without a visit, recruits aren't going to commit to a school with a terrible prestige for over 30 years. Arkansas football is viewed as losers and without official visits, we don't have a shot.

Alabama on the other hand has recruits commit on the spot without ever visiting. Thus the classes are already full before the first signing day.

Arkansas struggles each year trying to find talent good enough to fill a class each year.

Unless pur prestige improves, we will NEVER do any better than 5-7/7-5 average each year.

We have an all time losing record in the SEC. Besides a few years, we have been absolutely terrible. Almost like it was done on purpose.

Honestly, If pittman doesn't get it done... Let's put more and more into baseball, and basketball and wreck shop with those two and other sports.

Just realize we can't compete instead of the frustration of it all...

Nahhh, let's at least continue ruining Ole Miss's seasons!
