Agreed. That guy followed him everywhere except here. There is nothing 'elite' about this guy. He looks lost on the sidelines and fumbles for words in pressers. Honestly, he's not up to par. Maybe he gets there. We will find out because he isn't getting fired with that 70 mil buyout. His successes were in lesser conferences against lesser talent.

Bama is stuck with Kalen good or bad thru year 3.

Then you'll have to explain how he managed to pull off wins against Sark two years in a row (something Saban couldn't do), a win against Lincoln Riley (something Kelly couldn't do) and of course, three wins over Lanning, which I'm sure would be your top candidate to replace Deboer because...? Hell, I'll even throw in Cal since Hugh Freeze couldn't beat them.
You guys are fricking unabashedly dumb to think any coach in America is going to win with Jalen Milroe right now because there isn't one. If we had even a John Parker Wilson level QB Saturday, we win that game by three scores.
This team has been plagued with disciplinary issues for multiple years now and once again, Deboer did not inherit a juggernaut. He inherited a roster that was that managed to literally squeak out wins over three downright dog shite teams last year. But for whatever reason, we were to believe he would turn Milroe into Tom Brady and suddenly all the cracks that have been sinking this team for three years now would magically be patched. There's a reason the standout players are mostly transfers or true freshmen.
I bet you guys said the same shite about Sark in his first season at Texas or Kirby in his first season at UGA and I dare you to tell me with a straight face they didn't inherit a goldmine of talent. Sark inherited a roster that consisted of three top three recruiting classes and went 5-7. Can't imagine what was said about Saban around here when he allegedly had players saying "frick him" when they were getting arrested on the strip in 2007 or when he lost to ULM because "Shula didn't lose to ULM".

Post of the millennium in this forum. But it’s going to go over people’s heads that are still yapping “but mah 5 stars.”

Nope.
Things will have to get much worse for me to think that's the hire we need.
I'm still team DeBoer for at least 2 full years. Starting year 3, we should start to see some serious coalescing, or start being fans that wanna bitch and moan.
I don't want my instant nature to be bitching and moaning. I know in 17 years of TOTAL magical domination of our enemies we have gotten tons of fans that have no concept or context of what reality is for a normal fan experience.
If you don't let a coach find his own path, you'll be miserable and you'll make their time impossible.
Not saying you can't be objective and honest, but to be a bunch of titty babies and spoiled brats? Not for me. We'll do well to finally start getting rid of some of the fair weather fans.

You seriously missed my point... Kalen Dubose had Penix at Cincinnati and again at Washington. At Washington, he had a stud running back and 2 first round receivers to pair with Penix(multiple 4,000 yd seasons). He had Haener(4,000 you passer) at Fresno St. He doesn't have a great passer in Milroe, he doesn't have his lifetime playcaller, therefore his scheme doesn't translate to SEC play. Hope the guy figures it out. He been the beneficiary of arm talent at the qb position. Hope he finds some coordinators because that offense isn't it. Targeting a freshman wideout thats bracketed most of the night 20 times won't cut it.

Dabo wouldn't be better
Dabo already proved he has the nuts to make the right decision.
In 2018 he benched Milroe (Kelly Bryant) for a guy that actually knows how to throw a football Ty Simpson (Trevor Lawrence).
Give me the 2 time champ over a guy that won the GSAC championship anytime.

I don’t want Dabo in Tuscaloosa, but the longer this vacuum of leadership in college sports continues, the more respect I have for him. He was not only prescient enough to see the ramifications of the portal, NIL, etc, but he also chose to make a stand against it all, and he did it when nobody else would.
OMG, the ramifications of NIL and the portal have been so terrible. We have all these great games to watch every weekend and now the players are sharing in the wealth. Oh, the horror! Who would dare think college football might actually benefit, ya know, college students? Why can't they just be happy with a scholarship while putting their bodies on the line for the entertainment of the masses and so coaches can make eight figures and leave when a better opportunity arises?

He chose to die on that hill was what everyone said, but he didn’t die on that hill. He not only survived but appears to be thriving on that hill.
And have you seen Clemson's schedule since the Georgia bludgeoning?
