Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I kind of have doubts.

Doing so will require a total revamp of defensive scheme and personnel. Good offenses have overtaken Saban’s scheme, and the defensive coaches can’t even get the players to line up correctly.

I guess we’ll be fine of offense, but putting up 86 points in 2 losses is way beyond concerning.

He deserves a chance. I believe that he's earned it

He can stay until he retires even if he’s only going 8-4.

2020 won't be the year.

2021 team will be good enough if it can avoid injuries.

He'll retire before he starts having constant 8-4 years.

I think so, but I’m not as confident as I used to be.

Maybe he should drop the TV ads and focus on bringing in some alphas.

Don’t like that. I’m not ready to push him out the door by any means, but this is Alabama, not Florida State

Injuries and recruiting misses caught up with us this year. The lack of discipline is troublesome. Not sure where to start but things need fixing fast.

He lost to Ole Miss twice in a row. Not Auburn, not Georgia, not LSU. Ole MIss. In one of those he started Cooper effing Bateman at QB.

Joel Klatt and Colin Cowheard eagerly proclaimed that it was over. Then he went and won two more NCs.

So I think I'll hold off on declaring that Saban's run of championships is over.

I think he has one more run in him.

But now we’re getting beat on the recruiting trail as well as in the field. We’re not the top recruiting team anymore and it’s starting to show. Kirby and Pruitt have hurt us on the recruiting trail and now resurgent L$U has decided to go all in and pre$$ their advantage while they have one. The NCAA ain’t gonna do shite. I think the run is over. We’ve fallen from elite to good but not good enough. This is going to be a 10-2 program going forward.

It might be time to put some feelers out to Dabo to see if he would come home. If he says yes, we need to move before he changes his mind.

Auburn is away that year with a 3 year starter at QB, though.

Beat on the recruiting trail?? what were we last year 1? Has seven or eight years of 1 ranked recruiting classes ? Top five this year ? If other schools used some of you guys logic , they would shut their program down . Geez we are a spoiled , entitled bunch . When Saban does leave I hope your wives hide your guns and skill saws cause I am worried some will not make it

Bama is still a top recruiting team as far as 247 rankings go, but they’re obviously missing on defensive alphas.

Also, a 5* isn’t worth a damn if he leaves the team.

I mean, in the context of where we were and where programs like Nebraska, Miami and Texas are, I'd still consider us on top right now.

Unless next year sees us only win 8 games and clear decline begins, I still consider us in a "Good Ole Days" era.

In the SEC the difference between on top and the middle of the pack is pretty thin.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. We’re still an elite program filled with elite talent. We caught a bad break this season. If Tua hadn’t gotten hurt we would’ve punched our playoff ticket today, with a good chance to win it all.

We’re going to be better on defense next season. Joe Burrow and Jake Fromm are both gone next year, so winning the SEC is totally within reach, and that means being back in the playoffs.

Who is elite and what makes them such?

Give names and descriptions that have nothing to do with recruiting rankings.
