No I’m saying white people should fight against these protests. We have to save this country. We built it. It’s up to us to maintain it

Exactly. Or worse.
Will the white men of 2020 actually fight for this country? Or are they all pussies?

We have a bunch of white people who think the answer to race relations is to ignore race, or to even implement policies and legislation to favor non-whites, and a bunch of POC whose world revolves around their racial identity and the advancement of their people. They’re taking all the power they can get their hands on.
Combine this with the general attitude that America is up for grabs. “Come one come all.”
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see where this is headed

Why? Because black people dont like us, and they never will. Might as well accept it

I can see why they’re preseason number 1 as well Sept. 3: at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (Atlanta) Sept. 12: vs. Louisville Cardinals (Clemson, S.C.) Sept. 19: vs. Akron Zips (Clemson, S.C.) Sept. 26: vs. Virginia Cavaliers (Clemson, S.C.) Oct. 2: at Boston College Eagles (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) Oct. 10: at Florida State Seminoles (Tallahassee, Fla.) Oct. 17: vs. NC State Wolfpack (Clemson, S.C.) Oct. 24: vs. Syracuse Orange (Clemson, S.C.) Nov. 7: at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Notre Dame, Ind.) – 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Nov. 14: vs. The Citadel Bulldogs (Clemson, S.C.) Nov. 21: at Wake Forest Demon Deacons (Winston-Salem, N.C.) Nov. 28: vs. South Carolina Gamecocks (Clemson, S.C.)
I think 4 or 5 SEC teams could run through that schedule unscathed

Agreed

Again, I think all of this discussion is moot. Bryce Young is going to stroll into fall camp like a boss, and blow the doors off of Mac Jones

Yeah in which he threw 2 pick 6s and LOST
Lets not forget that Mac Jones LOST the Iron Bowl last year, and ensured that we missed the playoffs.
I’m assuming you all wouldn’t be happy with that performance in 2020, and are expecting him to be much improved?
I mean if you can’t beat Auburn, you sure as hell aren’t beating T Lawrence and Clemson

Im as big of a Bryce Young fan as you’ll find, but even if he is Tua level from a talent standpoint he would struggle massively against UGA due to a lack of experience.
Um, considering Tua jumped in against UGA with no experience, and slaughtered them, I’m not sure your statement holds water.
And it’s not like Mac Jones has tons of experience.
Bryce Young could potentially have two games under his belt going into UGA. That’s how much experience Mac Jones has.
We need to put our best talent on the field. If Bryce Young is a better, more consistent passer, he should start. Period.
Look, i think all of this debate is pointless. I think Saban already has Bryce Young in mind, I think he’ll win the job, and while everyone might be shocked, I think once you see him on the field, it’ll be pretty obvious

The three-headed monster:
Bryce Young
Trey Sanders
Jaylen Waddle

Mac Jones has the opportunity to be a high level SEC QB
If by “high level” you mean 4th or 5th best in the conference, then sure.
He got outplayed by Auburn’s QB last year.
I can’t for the life of me understand where this Mac obsession stems from.
Would you take Mac Jones next season, or freshman Jalen Hurts?
I actually think freshman Jalen could take us farther.
Fortunately for us though, B Young looks to be much better than freshman Jalen Hurts

The Auburn game is a perfect example of why Mac Jones SHOULDNT be the starter.
I’m sorry but how is losing to a vastly inferior Auburn team on the back of two pick 6s, with 4 first round WRs somehow an impressive showing for a QB?
Maybe it was impressive for a backup performance, but would any of you be happy if that was our starting QB, losing to Auburn like that, and missing the playoffs?
Hell no.
Mac Jones was barely able to beat Michigan, and had us biting our nails well into the second half. That’s unacceptable considering our talent level.
Again, people are giving credit to Mac for his performance as a backup, and not looking at it as if he was our starter, and holding him to that standard.
Could Mac Jones even get us to the playoffs? Could Mac Jones even beat Auburn this year?
Our goal should be NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Does anyone in their right mind think Mac Jones is capable of that? I mean maybe if our 2016 defense comes running onto the field, but that’s not happening

Saban can be benching upperclassmen in favor of better guys that just showed up.
You’re missing several key factors here.
1. Saban operates by the rule “once a starter, always a starter” He feels bad about taking guy’s jobs away. He even admitted to this sense of loyalty during the Jalen/Tua situation.
2. Mac Jones has at no point cemented himself as a starter. At no point has he officially won the starting job. He played last season as the backup QB. The competition is just as open as it was the year Jalen won the job.
3. Bryce Young is the better QB of the two. He also offers a key mobility factor, and gives us a true dual-threat - which Saban has always loved. The ONLY reason he wouldn’t start is if he’s behind in terms of knowledge, but he has been devouring the playbook all offseason and all quarantine, and actually running the Alabama offense with NFL players. There’s a real chance that Bryce Young has been outworking, and outpreparing Mac Jones all year.
4. The most important point. Saban wants Bryce Young to be the starter. He knows BY is the more talented QB, and he’s going to be looking for reasons to hand him the keys rather than the other way around. He loves this kid. Saban knows what the landscape is like today, and knows how much of a team’s success hinges on having an elite QB.
Bryce Young will be the second true freshman QB to start for CNS.
What I will say, is that I think the USC game could be a split-time scenario as we’ve seen him do in the past, but at the latest, Bryce will start by game 2.

Tua’s accuracy and delivery is second to none, but truth be told, Joe Burrow was a better QB. Trevor Lawrence was a better QB.
Yes, I think Bryce Young will be better than Tua. I think he’ll be the best Alabama QB of all time.
You can feel free to gawk at that statement, but considering he’s the highest rated QB to ever come to Alabama, it’s not an illogical prediction

They know if Bryce Young ends up being what everyone says he is, they won’t be beating Alabama for a while

Yes, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts game one. The precedent has been set with Jalen Hurts. Saban is more than willing to start a true freshman - especially with the way he gushes about Bryce Young.
Bryce Young is the best QB at Alabama. The only question is if Saban realizes that, or if he flubs the decision as he’s done in the past.
Mac Jones isn’t good enough to win a title

We just need to let LSU have this. They don’t have much to be proud of in their history as a program. Let’s just say they had the “best” season. Even though going undefeated - even 15-0 - isn’t groundbreaking at all, let’s just let them believe it
You guys had the Best season! Wow! Look at you! Good job!
