I agree with you 100% and that is concerning but him being a proven winner outweigh those concerns for me.

Their backup QB being better than their starter and him not wanting to make the change concerns me too, he is almost loyal to a fault.

He did eventually start Trevor Lawrence as a Tr Fr though so he has shown he will go with the more talented new guy in some situations.

He is a top 3 coach in college football however in my opinion, and the concerns I have with him are much more minor ones than I have with most potential candidates.

I disagree, any coach that would be scared of expectations I wouldn't want anyway, and the best of the best know they can win anywhere, especially at Alabama

These top coaches didn't get where they are from shying away from challenges and doubting their own abilities.

A good coach can become a great coach at Alabama, and a great coach can become legendary, the infrastructure is in place already and coaches know that.

What do you consider a long time? Another 5yrs? Dabo is 53 so let’s say Saban stays another 5yrs and that puts Dabo at 58. I would think at 58 he’s cemented in pretty much at Clemson and finishes up his career there. Dabo’s homegrown and done well for his self, but the ship’s sailing farther away every day as far coming home to coach.

Personally I give Saban another 2yrs. And as far as who I think the next coach would be I have no clue, but I will say the safe bet is on who Saban recommends. And money will not be no object, but total control of the program will.

Thankfully, Greg will never consider Dabo.

Dabo has the benefit of playing in the ACC (EZZ)....why would he move to the toughest conference in football and follow the best coach ever? With Lane being Lane, I think he would be the only coach not bothered by this!

If it’s a long time from now, Dabo will be too old to hire.
If Saban happens to retire in the next 5 years Dabo will be the guy. If he goes 8 plus it’s hard to say who will take his spot. It’ll be a really good coach though.

I already can't stand Gary Danielson. I'd have to mute Dabo as well.

For those that say they don't want Dabo, tell me who would be better that is realistic.

I used to be all in for Dabo until I realized that Kiffin and Sark would be better options.

Kiffin is borderline top 10 maybe,

In no particular order...

Saban
Smart
Dabo
Day
Riley
Kelly
Patterson...maybe
Harbaugh...maybe

I'm running out of obvious names.

Do Not Want!!!

He is too stubborn.

As far as another coach instead of Dabo. It depends on your timeline.
Sark
Aranda
Dan Lanning- if he does well over the next 2-3 years at Oregon
Jamey Chadwell- I think he’ll get a shot at a Power 5 school next year. If he continues his success, he could be an option.
Like Fickell- I wouldn’t want him because all of his experience has been up north. I don’t know if he’ll do as well down here.
Lance Leipold
Chris Klieman

Remind me why he'd come?

Is he not making enough money?

Is he not winning championships?

Is he not a damn folk hero at this point at Clemson?

He's not coming. I don't blame him.

No to Dabo. He plays 1 game all season(his P5 Non-Conf game) and shows up to the playoffs much fresher than everyone else and has 2 chips because of it.

Nah.

I think Dabo’s peak has passed but give him his due during the 2015-2020 stretch. Teams have plenty of time to rest up for the semis and finals.

A lot of people said we should hire Kiffin in this thread, they are idiots.

Yes.

But, so are you. Dabo is a clown that would have been fired years ago, if he was in the SEC.

Dabo is a multiple championship-winning coach that played here, show me a better resume smart guy.

I am very interested to see who you choose thats better. I bet its someone like Wisconsin's former DC or some other dumb shite.

Kiffin’s offense has been terrible this game. They’re getting no push at the line and throwing nothing down field. What’s going on??

Dabo is a small program type. A televangelist hypocrite.
