I understand Saban is nearing the end but still don’t get why these threads keep popping up. The goat is currently our head coach, leader of the greatest run in CFB history, will never be replicated. When Saban calls it quits then start the “why blank should be head coach” debates, enjoy the now.

I hope Dabo stays at Clemson and the Gamecocks beat him every year.

He took a shitty acc program and won two NCs there and has twelve 10 win seasons in a row. He needs to make some changes but I’d still take him over anyone else currently.

You probably want Lame Kiffin.

This is an important offseason for Dabo, he does need to start using the portal more, make some staff changes, and stop letting his son and his friends play WR. I think he will adapt and get Clemson back in the mix next year. In an "off year" this year they are gonna finish in the top 15.

Not that there’s an obviously better candidate should Saban retire tomorrow, but Dabo needs to embrace NIL, the portal, bring in some fresh blood on the coaching staff (too much inbreeding), and stop playing daddy ball. I’ve seen too many average looking white guys on the field with Venables, Swinney, and Turner on their name plate.

Dabo’s problem is he’s trying too hard to be an old school father figure coach in a new school game. That was OK five years ago. It’s not anymore.
