Alum

My first year at UA was Gene Stalling's first year.

I'm old.

Funny enough I wasn't a fan of anyone until around 1989 when I had to pick a school and Alabama seemed cool. The year of Hollingsworth, Homer Smith, and Bill Curry. Was easy to go all in. Then Stallings in 92. I got spoiled early. DuBose through Shula was rocky. I'm pretty much set for life now. Everything is gravy now.

I was born and raised in Bessemer for my first 7 years, then I moved around in the West Indies, spent a few years (ages 9-10 in El Paso during the early 90s), moved back to B'ham (lived in Elyton PJs for a few years as a teen) before my mom settled in Pinson (I was h.s. classmateds with Adam Pinson, who won on both College Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire). Went to Berea College and I've been a Bama fan since 2001 when Fraudchione took Bama to the Indy Bowl.

Raised to be a Bama fan since birth. My grandfather and father were huge fans.

Sometime in November of 1982, my Dad took me to my 1st BAMA game vs LSU at Legion Field.
As we finally got seated, Dad told me to look towards the north endzone goal post. Bear was leaning against the goal post as pregame warmups were under way. Though it was disappointing we lost, I was hooked that day as a BAMA man, certainly enjoying 7 titles as the years ROLLED on.

Bham, 50, Class of ‘93, 2 year walk on. My parents introduced me to Alabama football at the age of 6. My dream was to play for Coach Bryant.

My family grew up Alabama fans so that’s what I was raised to be. When I was a kid, I said I was going to play football at Alabama. Obviously that didn’t work out and I ended up attending another smaller college, but my love for Bama stuck with me and I’ve been a Bama fan ever since. My first Bama game was Utah State in 2004.

Pretty sure my grandfather attended Alabama and our family has been Bama fans ever since; especially my father who would have been on cloud nine these past 10 years if he were still alive.

Not an alum. Joined the military right out of high school. Born into it. Braves baseball and anything Bama are all I’ve ever known as far as my fandom is concerned.
