That's fair. I am not sure how we get to 10-1 / 11-0 without those things taking place, but I guess I could feel (some) better if we dropped 2 more (not sure how I would feel about 3) and started to see a more discipled team.

It might at least make me feel like not running him out on a rail.

One of the two Ls would have to be a hard fought L to GA on the road.

Fire Wommack at the end of the year

Go 6-2 in SEC play. I’m fine with a Georgia loss.

If Wommack pulls another one or two FSU games, can him for Morrell then hire a highly qualified guy at year end. I don’t want Morrell and I don’t want anymore best friends, I want someone like Tom Allen that can run a 4-2-5 efficiently.

I’ve had two gripes with DeBoer since last year in Milroe and Wommack. The only main one remaining is this dumb Wommack situation. Retention? Gold star. Recruiting? Gold Star. Staffing? Nope

10-2 regular season...make the cfp.

That was my answer before the season. Last week's turd just means there's less room for error.

Now if he wanted to completely flip the script and have fans do a 180 on his narrative...win at Georgia.

I’ve said repeatedly on this forum that Vandy has never been the issue for me. Yes the loss sucked but it was one of those nights … that can happen to the best of teams, look up what almost happened in Bryant-Denny on Oct. 12, 1974 … against a decent team with a hot shot quarterback who was on.

The issue was Oklahoma. Given the stakes and what we’d done the three weeks before, where it looked like we’d turned the corner, what happened that night was reprehensible and unacceptable. That should not have been one of those nights. That’s when I started having questions.

Would folks be okay with him dropping the starters who loafed last week and playing their back ups the rest of the way and losing 5 more games but sending a clear message?

DeBoer = Make the playoffs & give Wommack his walking papers after the season.

Byrne = Hire Schumann as defensive coordinator with the understanding that he's head coach in waiting.

I need to see some pure jackasses on the field hitting everything that looks like it's going to move. I need to see a team that shows up pissed off, plays pissed off and leaves the stadium still pissed off, even when they win. If they do that the winning will take care of itself.

I just don't think this staff has it in them to change the team to that type of DNA. I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of this HC and staff. And boy is it going to cost us out the butthole.

It's going to take a long, long time. Even if he beats UGA I will not buy into him being the right guy for the program.

At this point, if he started showing emotion or fire in the sideline then I would consider it performative because clearly that isn’t his true nature. So as much as I’d like to see him show some energy on the sideline, it’s more about results for me. Make the playoff and show marked improvement with the product on the field….and by “make the playoff” I don’t mean back in only to get trounced in the road at somewhere like Ohio State.

He could also take some executive speaking classes so he can at least do a better job at saying nothing.

I don’t think it’s loafing. There’s plenty of individuals doing film review saying it just looks like shite coaching and confusion on what to do.

If we’re not coaching experienced guys to do the right things, we’re sure as shite not going to see it from the greener options

I just think he’s too far gone, for me. He’s completely lost and unprepared, personally and professionally, and I don’t think he can change that within any reasonable time frame.

But,

— if he stops looking entirely lost like he doesn’t even know why he’s in the stadium during the game;

— starts looking like he cares the least bit;

— if the team looks like they at least practiced and knew who they were playing and what they were supposed to when the game starts and are motivated to do it;

— fire Womack, yesterday.

— put an end to pansies painting their finger nails and carrying dolls.

That would at least be a start.

Someone else answered the same question, except as it regards Greg Byrne. frick Byrne. He’s the reason why we’re here. He passed over better hires out of pettiness and stupidity and saddled us with this FCS/Pac12/Sunbelt horseshite. His judgement is obviously poorer than a LSU fan walking out of a gay strip club.

We probably don't. I was just saying that all the things people want to see from him are things they won't give a shite about if they don't translate to wins. And if he keeps doing things in ways people don't like, but it results in wins, people will stop hating how he does things. Winning cures everything. Always has, always will.

My expectations for the year were making the playoffs though, so I'll still be in the anti-DeBoer camp if we miss them again. Even if it's at 9-3.

Just Wommack? Again, there is a co defensive coordinator. Does Mo Linguist just get a pass?

Consecutive great games. I think the only time we’ve played well over multiple games was

Wisconsin to Georgia
and Missouri to LSU

That’s literally it. And both “streaks” are bookended with really poor performances

He can’t do it. With very few exceptions, a winning coach has to be a hard arse a respected authority. DeBoer is none of that. He’s their buddy, he’s cool, calm, and collected no matter what. He will not be successful unless he can remake his entire personality. It’s time to cut our losses and move on.

Just win. That's pretty much it.

That's part of it. I'd say don't get beaten.

Losses are inevitable: injuries, a talented team with some wrinkle no one saw coming, etc. There's always a chance someone is better than you.

What we saw last Saturday was a beating. Alabama looked like the kid who skipped class all semester, wandered into the final, and couldn't produce a complete sentence.

- He could start with benching 74 & 18, for sure. 18 should probably be expelled for conduct that reflects poorly on the institution. He looked like one of those Down's Syndrome kids they let score a touchdown at the jamboree game out there last Saturday. If either one are getting money, that needs to be stopped. The thing about paying people is that it goes both ways: if the payee isn't delivering, the payer need not continue paying.
- Move practice back to afternoons. The games are played in the afternoon. It's hot, I know. Guess where we are? When I heard last year that he'd done that, I was worried this was where the team was heading.
- Fire or sideline Wommack today with the intention of either dismissing him at season's end or moving him to some kind of recruiting/analyst role.

All those things require a set of nads. Not sure CKD has one.
