Tubs has went off the deep end. If you had a chance to listen to him before he went retard he had some very traditional conservative views.

And that’s all I was saying. I’m acutely aware we’re in a Red State and I have faith that conservatives in this state can find someone more capable than Tommy Tubberville. Roll Tide Willie is free I hear.

That’s a serious statement: maybe accurate, maybe reckless. You don’t normally post like a moron (though politics does make many lose their mind), and I don’t do politics, so, specifically, how is he running the state into the ground? Thanks

All the politicians do is buy votes so the can keep their job. Their vote buying is running up a debt that is so high people don’t even comprehend the amount. We are headed toward having a huge percent of the federal budget just to cover the interest on the freaking debt. We, the republicans used the campaign to balance the budget. Now we are just as bad as the socialists. We are leaving our kids a mess that will collapse.

Every vote for Tubby gives more money and power to Auburn and less to Bama. Besides the fact he is a turd. Good luck living with that.

Tubberville gives the vibe of someone who wants to be a soundbite and social media engagement content creator that happens to be a senator not a person with the actual ability to lead a government. This makes me think that electing him governor is really just electing a front for some sort of national interest vaguely aligned to the national GOP.

I'd rather have a conservative actually living in this state - not """living""" in this state for electoral purposes - being the head of state and government of Alabama. If the people of Alabama want him to be our senator, who cares, the senate basically only exists to rubber stamp budgets and accept presidental nominations. Our federal legislature is an almost inert body now. I think it is a bad call to elect this type of man governor of Alabama. Grifting is the main thing to do in DC, we need someone who can actual run a state like they give a damn at governor.

I don’t discuss politics in any shape, form or fashion on social media or message boards, ever, except non-philosophical things like pointing out to people who get on here or on the Rant crowing that liberals are behind NIL and the portal that the Supreme Court decision was 9-0 and that two of the most conservative justices wrote the opinions.

So neither you nor anyone else will know my feelings about Tuberville along those lines.

That being said, I also would never, under any circumstances, let a sports rivalry influence my vote in an election. Sports, college and professional, is a fantasy world, a diversion from real life, although it’s obvious that it’s life itself for a lot of folks especially in Alabama.

Imagine going back in time to 2005 and telling a random Bama fan that Tuberville would be a senator/governor of Alabama. Alabama fans had a white hot hate of the dude after the thumb.

Pretty ridiculous that any self respecting Bama fan supports him after the way he smugly rubbed it in our face during our lowest point. He’s been an arse and always will be. I get voting for him over Doug Jones but it’s a shame we’re even in this position.

I wasn’t happy about an Auburn coach + someone not from Alabama representing the state but he has been very solid on the issues and has done exactly what his voters elected him to do.

Many here would disagree, but I appreciate you

Specific to Tubberville, my issues

1. Admittedly, this one is more personal in nature. My dad is retired disabled military. Tubberville has done a lot of grandstanding and feet dragging and politicized military healthcare and medicine(and broader military issues). He proses it as “stopping veterans and taxpayers from being defrauded” but what that actually means is denying claims or claims taking a ridiculously long time to be approved. He championed getting rid of VA “bloating” but it’s made getting healthcare for veterans much more difficult. 1st hand experience.

2. It was mentioned how he “helped secure SpaceCOM”. SpaceCOM should’ve always been in Alabama. He didn’t do us any favors for its initial placement.

3. General embarrassing statements and dog whistling that further divide people in our state and country.

4. Opposition to desperately needed infrastructure for the state. Only cares about himself and his cronies.

5. Speaks incessantly about corruption in Washington while violating the Stock Act multiple times and very likely not living the the state he represents. At least when he was involved with a hedge fund he wasnt representing the state while defrauding us.

Most of the responses will be whataboutism. I’m focused on Tubberville and our state. Alabama can do better and the Republican Party can do better.

People can do their own research and vote how they see fit.

No, but the fact that you think a dude with a dick and a wig is a woman because he says so may be a better indicator of any litmus test I need to know. None of this was my intention, but yeah, I mean in our nations capitol it would be super cool to see; you know, our nations flag. I would certainly not put another countries flag in front of my own. As a matter of fact, it may be a litmus test for the priority of the country and people you represent.

Exactly this. Anyone who thinks he won't prioritize Auburn University over UA is a fricking moron. T-shirt fans won't care but alums know we're about to take a backseat to AU if he gets elected.

I saw enough of Tub's character when he was taunting our fans and players as well as allowing his thugs to knock the shite out of our Yell Team members to know he's the last piece of shite who should be running the state. There are hundreds more conservative politicians out there better suited for the job than him.

You’re exactly right. Whether or not he identifies as a republican is secondary to the fact that he made our lives a living hell from 2002-2007. Auburn already has a lot of influence in the state with Rane and Harbert controlling a lot of things. The fact that we can’t find a better candidate to run is scary. I detest Tuberville as a person for all that he did as a coach. His hubris is what led us to hiring Saban.

The worst areas, in regards to education, in our state aren't voting Republican.

I couldn't stand Cole Cubic as a player...as an analyst and radio host, I love Mac & Cube in the Morning...incredibly knowledgeable. I think he does a great job.

Didn't Tubberville undermine the military and national security by blocking appointments for a year?...

There is a reason for that, but you don't want to go there.
