2025 4 Star Tylis Jordan is one of the most high-upside players in the ‘25 class.

Jordan is a long, athletic, 6-9 wing with excellent versatility and a wide ranging skill set. Can guard multiple positions defensively, can rebound and is a skilled offensive prospect.

He tells me LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, SMU, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Kansas are the schools he hears from the most.

Are we not recruiting Javen Poindexter out of Red Level, Alabama? Kid put up 73 the other night. Kid averages 35 a game

Love the kid. He is a great kid, with great grades, and does a lot in the community. He works hard at his game.

I would love to see him at Alabama but he plays at a 1A school and he out athletes everyone in that area. Willie Frank Tolbert also played there when I was in school there and went on to start for Auburn in the mid 2000s though.

Side note, Red Level has the top scorer's in boys and girls for the state.

Years ago, there was a Poindexter at John Carroll who tore it up as well. I wonder if they're related.

Small school worked okay with Herbert Jones.

We signed 6’10” Aiden Sherrell, a 5 star, McDonald’s AA, in the fall. He does that- and hits threes.

Auburn transfer Traore is averaging 14 points and 5 rebounds at UC Santa Barbara. Maybe they should have kept him.

The kid weighs 200 LBS!! We need a 6'11'', or over and 250 LB or more sheriff in the paint!
Hell, Bediako stayed in foul trouble because he only weighed 225 lbs!

Nolan Traore

He discussed his time on each campus with 247Sports.

Alabama: "That was great. Every visit I have done has been great. I visited the facilities and whatever. They're all great coaches."

Gonzaga: "That was great. I met great people. I liked it. I did basic stuff like get to know everyone and their staff, see the facilities, visit the city."

Xavier: "That was great. I met great people. Everybody was nice to me and my family. I think he [Sean Miller] is great. He has coached a lot of people that went to the NBA so I think he is a great coach."

While Traore weighs his college options, he will also be weighing his professional options and if he chooses to go to college, he will make for an immediate impact player.

"I don't know when but I will take my time and study my options," he said of when he plans to make a decision.

I don't think people realize how good walk-ons are at that level.

I was a decent high school player. Was a very good shooter, ok handle. I played kinda the same way Sears does. Used my wide shoulders and leverage to make up for my speed.

I attended a NCCAA, not NCAA, school and played a few pick-up games with the men's bball team. Those guys absolutely kicked my arse every time we played. I felt like a 2nd grader playing against Highschoolers. I couldn't do shite and couldn't defend shite. One of the guys was a former McDonalds All-American. They were roughly the equivalent of a NAIA school. A PWO at Alabama would probably dominate at the NAIA level.

As Brian Scalabrine likes to say; "I'm closer to LeBron, than you are to me".

12 Minutes of Highlights

Holy shite. This kid is crazy good. Kira Lewis with an expanded shot creation kit. Unreal bursts of speed and good step-backs. And this is pretty high-level competition he's doing this against.

It's sometimes hard to judge solely off of highlights, but with his quickness, change of pace, and 3-level scoring kit all while showing a ton of fluidity (one of my bigger points of emphasis when watching highlights); he could be a top 15 level player if he were in the States. I think this kid would absolutely eat in Oats' system.
