And Derrion Reid, top 10 five star signed with us. We had a 5-star point guard visit early this week. Was with whole family at the game Tuesday. Oats is rolling in recruiting for next year.

I’ll be surprised if we don’t get Mikel based on how his visit went.

Not really...

The McDonald's All American Games Selection Committee has also announced the 724 girls and boys basketball players nominated for the chance to play in the Games this April.Jan 9, 2024

So cut that in half, and we better have all our guys in the top 362 players.

2025 4 Star BJ Davis-Ray is having a fantastic first season, so far, for Duncanville (TX).

Davis-Ray is a talented guard prospect with shotmaking prowess from all levels and excellent playmaking ability.

Arkansas, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Kansas, Stanford, Alabama, Illinois, Arizona, Virginia, Auburn and Creighton are the schools he’s hearing from, per source.

He has offers from Tennessee, Houston, and Kansas. Definitely sounds like a good target.

RollTide.com:

Men's Basketball Signees Derrion Reid and Aiden Sherrell Selected as McDonald’s All-Americans

For the third time in program history and second time under Nate Oats the Crimson Tide has two signees who will participate in the same McDonald’s Boys High School All-American game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball signees Derrion Reid and Aiden Sherrell have been selected to the McDonald's Boys High School All-American game, organizers announced Tuesday. Alabama is one of five schools in the country that has signed two McDonald's All-Americans, along with Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Rutgers.

It marks the third time in program history and second time under head coach Nate Oats that the Crimson Tide will have two signees represented at the annual event in the same year. The only other occurrences came in 2022 when signees Jaden Bradley and Brandon Miller played in the event and in 1981 when Bobby Lee Hurt and Ennis Whatley were recognized.

Reid and Sherrell become the 17th and 18th program signees to earn the honor as part of the top prep players in the nation, and sixth and seventh in the last eight years alone. Most recently under Oats, the Crimson Tide has signed four McDonald's All-American selections (Jaden Bradley, Brandon Miller, JD Davison and Jahvon Quinerly). Other former Alabama players to be honored with the distinction include: Devonta Pollard (2012), JaMychal Green (2008), Richard Hendrix (2005), Mo Williams (2001), Gerald Wallace (2000), James "Hollywood" Robinson (1989), Jamal Faulkner (Arizona State transfer, 1989), Buck Johnson (1982), Ennis Whatley (1981) and Bobby Lee Hurt (1981).

2025 4 Star Hudson Greer is having a stellar junior season for Lake Travis (TX) leading them to a 24-4 overall record.

Greer is one of the most well-rounded prospects in the ‘25 class. An excellent shooter/scorer who plays with toughness and a high-motor on both ends.

He told me Creighton, Arizona, Alabama, Arkansas, UCLA and Texas are the schools he hears from the most.

It’d be pretty big to land Brown and have him reclass. Gotta be a good sign for him to be back on campus that soon after his official.

Caleb Holt is the #3 recruit in the 2026 class too he plays for Buckhorn so great to see him there.
