I don't think the video evidence would back up the brandishing of the weapon, as that requires a pretty clear line of sight from the camera and as you alluded to the other dude would have been arrested as well. However, given the facts that the shooting happened mere seconds after Miller's arrival and the jeep pulled up after Miller arrived, this story makes more sense than a dude popping a clip into a jealous BF's car because he hit on their girl. The motive seems reversed in this situation, which suggests to me that, even if it wasn't "self-defense", their claim of being fearful for their lives is probably true.

The brandishing/who shot first/etc is the type of thing that will only become known as the case moves forward and evidence comes out.
LE made an immediate arrest and the DA charged capital murder. That’s a strong indication they didn’t think the evidence supported a self defense claim but it could change as the case progresses.
Best advice is to just wait and see. This is one case where every hearing is going to be covered extensively so following it won’t be hard.

What a shite draw that would be for us. Essentially ensures our first game will be Arkansas (trending upward with Nick Smith) and second would be Tennessee (a nightmare matchup with a lax whistle).

Miss St is sitting in 9th with a 7-9 record. They have USCe at home and go to Vandy. They have a great chance to win both the way they are playing now.
Arky is 8-8, goes to Tennessee and then has Kentucky at home.
Mississippi State has the head to head tiebreaker with Arky.
IMO, there’s a better chance Mississippi State ends up in that 8 slot than Arky.

I found Jamea Harris’ boyfriend facebook page after that shooting. The guy is a complete thug and I don’t believe a word that came from him. Every picture he posted either had guns or drugs in them. I think a lot of people will owe Miles and Davis some apologies. I pray those young men get off with self defense because the Johnson guy brandished a weapon first.
It also sucks that her stepfather came out on AL.com trashing Nate Oats and Brandon Miller. If he was such a concerned parent he would’ve been more selective about who his daughter dated. This Johnson guy seems like the agitator in this whole situation.

What I’ve heard over the last few months: this was a case of three dumbass, drunk young men that had too many guns between them (any number greater than zero) and a woman paid the ultimate price for the stupidity.

Anyone who has been to the SEC tourney before: can you buy single session tickets from people outside the arena, since they are digital now? Any tips on getting in to single games for a decent price? Looking to go to whatever sessions we are in on Friday/Saturday.
