Tifwiw. Some guy posted this over on rivals:

This is also pretty close to the scuttlebutt I've heard around people close to law enforcement around campus. Some details I didn't know but the broad strokes that the boyfriend (Johnson) had brandished a weapon shortly before Miles' friend (Davis) fired Miles' weapon.

Just for information the place of the shooting was on Grace St. one block off campus. Miller like so many young black men had a dash board camera, much like a ring door bell. Millers story matched the video from his car and the surveillance video in the area. The area, known as the Strip is loaded with surveillance cameras.

Just for information, when Miller got to the bar. He waited for Davis and Miles to come out. When they came out, Johnson, the other shooter pulled up behind Miller’s car and blocked Miller. Johnson had a loaded pistol and loaded magazine in his car. Johnson had left the bar earlier and by all accounts was waiting for Miles and Davis to leave the bar. Johnson started yelling at Davis, who was drunk and dancing in n the street. One of the females in the Johnson car handed Johnson the gun and Davis went and got Miles gun from the back seat. There were twelve shots fired quickly, four were fired by Johnson and eight by Davis. Two of the shots hit Davis, two shots hit Millers windshield and one shot hit the deceased woman. There are three videos of the incident. Miller stayed and gave the Police statements and a copy of his video . Davis and Miles left the scene and so did Johnson.

My version and Miller’s version are backed up by three videos. The University and the Athletic Department were briefed within a day.

Under Alabama Law the firing of a weapon into a car resulting in the death of an occupant can be Capital Murder.

Self Defense must be plead to the jury as a defense, which is why Miles and Davis have been arrested. It is unclear whether the deceased or the other woman in the car handed Johnson his weapon. There was a significant amount of drugs found in Johnson’s vehicle weapons and loaded cartridges. Johnson and Harris were 60 miles from their residence at 1:45 a.m. and they left the bar about about fifteen minutes before the shooting and waited in a parked car. Johnson says they were waiting because they were eating. Of course when Miles and Davis left the bar, Johnson pulled behind Miller, with Johnson’s lights off.

Video supports Miller’s Account. ESPN has now backed off the story, based on the video.

I really hope all of this is true and eventually it comes out. 100% wouldn't expect any apologies to BM from the ones who have absolutely destroyed him across social media. Instead the narrative will shift to "Miller still brought the gun to the scene that eventually hit an innocent bystander".

They'd legit be more okay with Miles returning to the team than us keep playing Miller.

He’s more than a clown. He and some of these other media people want to take our program down. The guy was hovering around Coach Saban after the national championship game in 2017.

I’m confused. Had Miles and Davis already crossed the street? I assume they didn’t walk right by the Jeep after it pulled up

I think the 20-21 title was clinched on the road at MSU, so Wednesday will be the first time we have a chance to clinch at home since Pettway’s layup. While I’m not planning to storm the court this time, beating AU for the ‘Ship seems like a perfect way to win this thing!! Oats and his staff have done an incredible job, and this group of players deserve so much credit for what they’ve had to battle through.

No doubt. We forget about guys like Noah Clowney and Sears who had nothing to do with it and have stayed focused throughout. Hopefully we can continue to stay focused and finish the season off the right way.

I’ve trusted the judicial system to do its job from the get go. If he wasn’t arrested, charged and never was a suspect I knew there was clear evidence he did no wrong doing. That’s all I needed to know. In that scenario he’s 100% innocent.

If Miller did stay behind to wait on police then that’s crucial. Also Johnson seeming to be the aggressor and waiting on them outside is also crucial.

Couple of problems with this statement.

First one is that the testimony said the guy in the Jeep returned fire with a .45 Judge. That’s a revolver that can fire .45 pistol rounds or .410 shotgun shells. It doesn’t use magazines. It’s certainly possible there was a random magazine for another weapon in the vehicle, but it wouldn’t be for the Judge.

Second, if you’re making a self defense claim, the usual first step is not in front of a jury. The first move is to file a motion seeking immunity from prosecution under Alabama’s stand your ground law. If you’re successful with that claim, which is heard by a judge, there is no trial at all. You are free and clear from any criminal or civil action. If they’re going for self defense, they will absolutely ask for a hearing because there’s no down side. If the judge denies it, they are still able to claim self defense at trial.

Harrison v State, laying out the stand your ground hearing

The “never, ever talk to the police crowd” needs to take note of this sentence. Miller has representation, which is completely appropriate but this cooperation right off the bat no doubt played a big role in keeping him on the list of witnesses and off the list of potential defendants.

Wednesday could be a special night. Sweeping Auburn and winning the SEC on your home floor all in one stroke is perfect.

2 out of 3 conf titles on the way for Nate. Already a conf tourney title in his back pocket. 2 seed, 6 seed and now it looks like a 1 seed this year. Who would have ever dreamed of this success so quickly back in the Avery days?

It was confirmed during the hearing that there was a loaded magazine for another weapon in the vehicle.

As for the stuff about self defense, it doesn't even have to make it to an arrest, much less an immunity hearing or even a trial. So that part of that post is just wrong. There is nothing mandating that law enforcement make an arrest and allow a judge or jury to determine self defense in a homicide. For example, if your Ring doorbell shows a dude in a ski mask kicking your door in and you put 5 bullets into him you probably aren't getting arrested. Especially not in fricking Alabama. You're more likely to get a fist bump from the cops than handcuffs in that scenario.

Line was UCLA -7, but hoping CO can pull it out. They’ve got some interesting wins but a lot of bad losses.

Edit: they beat Tenn pretty handily earlier this year

I missed the random mag part of the story.

On the other, My guess is that the part about video backing up Miller’s story is going to be pretty true but the rest not so much.

Agreed. If video evidence backed that account up I don't think they'd have been arrested. Then again, if that Jeep really did pull up behind Miller with its lights off they have a real shot at walking on a stand your ground defense.

Wow…refs just gave UCLA the game. Hope they don’t let that kind of mugging go if we play UCLA. The last 2-3 min was atrocious.
