The SEC basketball standings after the midweek action.

Two-way tie is head to head, so TN is the No. 4, AUB is the No. 5, UGA is the No. 10, and MSU is the No. 11.

Three-way tie is best win % vs. other teams. MIZZ is 2-1, VU is 1-1, and ARK is 1-2.

During timeouts at the South Carolina game was it just me or was Miller literally the only one showing any excitement? The rest of the team seemed to me to be just standing there with blank looks on their faces.

2 things:

1) who was the guy that posted last week saying we really didn't have a guy that could score when we had to have it?

2) and can someone find that Musselman quote about 'we don't listen to the high school philosophy/an open 15 footer is a good shot' (paraphrasing here), taking a shot at Oats. anyone got a link or source on that quote?

Much respect to Goodman and Gottleib. They actually looked at the facts and didn’t let emotion form their opinion.

#1 overall seed @AlabamaMBB would get 16 seed Howard/FDU followed by the winner of Iowa/Nevada in Birmingham. Give me this bracket on Selection Sunday.

Alabama Women's Basketball Stumbling Down the Stretch After Loss to Florida (SI)

After back-to-back road setbacks, Alabama is now on the outside looking in for an SEC Tournament double-bye.

I finally got the chance to watch the highlights of the S.Carolina game. Looked like there was a good contingent of Bama fans at the game. Kudos local Bama fans. Also I know we didn't look amazing in this game, but I'm thrilled we won and shove it in the haters face for at least another couple days.

P.S. Never going back to the SEC rant again. The most toxic forum I've ever seen and that is saying a lot. The amount of hate against Alabama in literally everything (school, football, basketball....etc) is amazing. I will be standing by the next time literally any player from any other school gets mixed up legally in anything and will pounce on it and just troll my a$% off

It's easy for people to say terrible things about our players behind anonymous names on here and social media platforms. Doing it in real life would take things to a different level. I was very pleased when our team was able to walk out of South Carolina with a win. A game that was largely won on the shoulders of Brandon Miller. Poetic justice.

Huge respect to those guys for actually looking at the facts, then forming an opinion. And also for using a bit of common sense.

If you haven't watched it, well worth a watch.

Anonymity definitely affords people the opportunity to say things they wouldn’t say to or about someone in person… which in turn, creates ‘diarrhea of the mouth’ syndrome, where the habit of speaking out on message boards actually spills over into real life. It is crazy what is happening in every-day-life

It's gotten worse and worse. And it's not by accident. It drives up traffic and keeps people posting which equals ad revenue. I'm to the point that I don't really even like posting here because it all goes to the same site. If there was a good Bama board - especially basketball - I'd probably leave this shithole and the 17 wasted stupid years I've been here and never look back.

But not on SEC Rant right?

I know there is a great temptation to give it back to the trolls and fans of other teams when the shoe is inevitably on the other foot. But try to remember how you feel right now about what they are doing to defame “our” people - particularly Miller and to some degree Oats. As much as it bothers you and tempts you to get your “revenge” on other fans, in the end it doesn’t actually impact any of us much. It DOES greatly impact the individuals (players, coaches) being defamed and drug through the mud. This would still be true even if the player or coach is on another team. If you truly believe what is being said about Miller is out of bounds, then you probably shouldn’t want to do the same when it’s a player not on your team.

So “revenge troll” if you want, but don’t forget the humanity of the people you are talking about - and don’t forget your own humanity for that matter.

Eta: I implore ALL of you (Alabama fans) not to go to the SEC Rant or anywhere else online and engage with other fans/people spreading their bullshite about this situation. There is absolutely zero positive that comes from that. You aren’t going to change their mind, it’s not going to help Brandon Miller in anyway. It’s just going to throw more fuel on the fire and keep it burning. Let them circle jerk themselves raw about it and wallow in their own miserable pathetic lives.

I admit a couple days ago I tried to discuss it there and it was a mistake so the above advice is for myself too and from experience. Just stay away and don’t do it.

Another name picking up some traction for Ole Miss, per sources.

Former LSU coach Will Wade.

Again, like Beard, would be a risk - especially without NCAA investigation resolved.

But he and Beard have track record of winning.

Ole Miss is going dumpster diving for a coach it looks like.
