Yes. They were #1 and undefeated. We beat them 78-62. I was there. Took my dad. It was his one and only Tide BB game in person. The noise was unreal. Packed and large part of the crowd standing almost the whole game.
Sarcasm I assume.
I tried to figure it out from this but got totally lost, LINK
Was it a neutral site or home game for St Johns
He may have just been using us to max out $ from Ky.
Pairings are based on team's last year conference record. If we want a better game we need to finish higher in the SEC.
I think the matchups are based on last year's team's conference record.
Just saw that he only has 1 year left. Hope Coach sees something past the obvious.
A 7 ft guy who is a "little slow", "needs conditioning" and needs to "drop a few pounds" but has good upside is the perfect description of one who may be really good in Oat's system toward the end of his SECOND year here.

I didn't mean to imply there was a conspiracy. Just followed the money from his personal viewpoint.
We got used.
Old enough I should have seen what he was doing long before now. That's for sure. There were some articles at the time that he wanted to go to NC but they wanted him to wait a year/didn't have a slot or some such.

Hindsight on Jaren. He wanted to go to NC last season but couldn't. So he compared $, coaching plus experience of us vs high school and chose to use us for a year & Cash in knowing all along he was probably going to NC. Explains his on and off effort.
All athletes don't mature at the same rate nor age. "Late bloomers" that used to stay at smaller schools (and get hot and cause upsets in the tournament) now can follow the money.
No. Sorry, wrong game.

Yep! It boggles my mind how he gets to call games past Jr College.
Their starters average age is 19.4 yrs. Ours is 22.0 yrs. Combine that with our SOS and we should have a serious maturity advantage: stamina, physicality, savvy, etc. We should be able to play smarter, more physical and get into their heads.
re: That loss versus Oklahoma was the dumbest I’ve ever seen. Old news but I don’t care.

Why don't you just tell us how you really feel about it.
I read somewhere that he had a severely bruised shin.
I know it is frustrating when we don't get close to our potential, but Oats will get better. He's still early on the learning curve for big time BB.
