Did it make you happy or sad? I know quite a few Bama fans that hated Auburn won that way. I was happy. I love the fact that Aubie will be so highly ranked when we play them. I also think it will make our team even more pumped for the game. But how did you feel?

I would have rather clinched the West with a UGA win. Plus, I hate Auburn and everything about them.

I was at the game and it was electric.

I wanted AU to win for two reasons. 1) Beating them at 10-1 and being ranked high will be more fun 2) I wanted to party with some happy AU sorostitues that night.

A boog loss would have been nice to cement Bama in the West, but the bright side is it will make their SOS higher.

I was happy they won that game. I was happy to see their defense wilt and their offense get stuck/stalled in the 2nd half. That miracle catch to pull out the win will give them a false sense of security, when in reality they should have never let UGA get back in the game.

When I watched that play, I couldn't do anything but laugh. It was sooo Auburn and sooo Georgia at the same time.

I did feel bad for Murray.

I noticed in the 1st half the Aub defensive ends were blowing up the line and pressuring murray on almost every play - but then in the second half he had a lot more time to throw. What change did GA make or what happened with Auburn D in the 2nd half?

I don't think UGA was prepared:
quote:

“We came out a little sluggish the first half,” Theus said. “I think they kind of caught us by surprise. They came out with a lot of energy and they were playing really hard.” Georgia’s first few offensive series presented some changes to the offensive line’s rotation, including the substitution of junior offensive tackle Kolton Houston for Theus. Houston played a few series as a result of Theus’ costly mistakes early in the game.

That was from a UGA Offensive Lineman.

You can't get sad after watching a play like that.

It was a hell of a moment in football. I watched it out in the Junction tailgating, and even then, it was an experience listening to the whole Junction gasp and start yelling.

I'll be honest, and this may sound crazy, but I think it was a perfect Saturday for Alabama. A huge, emotional win for Auburn combined with a sluggish Alabama win might be just what Alabama needs.

Hopefully that translates into an overconfident Auburn thinking that they're "destined" to win, and an Alabama team with a chip on their shoulder from watching game film of themselves derping around for four quarters.

I really liked what I read from some of the Alabama players after the MSU game. No one was happy.

I'm glad Auburn won. We could have very easily come out flat like Georgia and found ourselves behind by a bunch. I don't see that happening now after that game.

Our chances of winning just went way up.

UGA came out early like we did sat nite. Our O better come out playing from first snap in iron bowl.

I never want Auburn to win. Unless their winning would cement Bama winning the west.

That play was not good for Alabama. An AU loss to UGA would've given us the West. Instead, we now have zero margin of error and a loss to AU could knock us all the way down to the friggin Capital One Bowl. I get the intangible aspects of it but a bird in hand is better than two in the bush and we'd have a trophy right now if it weren't for that play.

I would have liked to clinch the West, but I didn't care too much either way.

Couldn't have cared less. I wanted Georgia to win, but it didn't really make me happy or sad. Shocked, along with I'm sure everybody else watching that, was the only real emotion I had. Would've been nice to already have the West locked up, but we have to win all our games to get to where we want to be anyway.

I honestly was pulling for UGA so we could clinch the West. Now that I have had time to think about the implications of a 10-1 Auburn playing BAMA I think I like this scenario better.

The biggest reason is now Auburn is not just playing the role of the spoiler. I think they might play a little more conservative and guarded because they have an SEC Championship Birth/Maybe National Championship birth on the line. I think they also will be more a bit nervous because of these implications. Lots of young talent on that team and they have not had this kind of success before. Will it help or hinder them?

Since they are no longer the spoiler beating BAMA will not totally define their season where as before it did. Know what I mean?

I was excited in the moment bc it was a pretty miraculous play. It's one of those plays that you know you will see on all-time lists for years to come.

Today, I wish the UGA DB had batted the ball down so we would have clinched, but I can definitely understand wanting Auburn to be highly ranked for the IB. It's gonna be an awesome build up to the game this year.

I'm never happy when Auburn wins, I hope they lose every game they ever play.
