I think it was great for Bama that AU won.

1. SOS

2. It will be sweeter to beat them @ 10-1 vs 9-2

3. Strengthens their belief that they are a team of destiny.

3. And most important I think, they will be much more conservative in their playcalling now that they have something real to play for. More than just an Iron Bowl win to spoil Bama's year. Now they have the West and an SEC Championship game as well. I just think that takes away the chance of them "throwing everything but the kitchen sink" at us. If they had nothing to lose, there's no telling what they might try.

Yeah I was rather indifferent. There were merits on both sides of that coin. UGA was dancing on the head of a dime on their last possesion and had they been closer to scoring on an earlier down, they could have basically wiped out the clock and I think they had that in mind before they bogged down and it got to 4th down. They couldn't wipe out the time then because should they have failed on 4th down they had all three time outs and still could have gotten the ball back again with a stop THUS they left Auburn with some time. Upon this I said aloud to my family watching the game that Auburn was going to somehow win. They were mocking me on 4th and 18. I just had a feeling though and stuck to my claim. Crazy play but since it DID go that we, we just have to take it and shred them now at 10-1.
