I agree I’m not saying there’s no chance in hell Grubb doesn’t take the Seahawks job if offered however the man is definitely in Bama gear and out on the recruiting trail. Some people even when presented with evidence still can’t admit they’re wrong and that Saban Please guy is one of them.

I'm looking forward to college baseball season as it doesn't seem to have been overrun by as much of the NIL stuff (transfers - yes).

Why do you think Shelton and Holman transferred in the first place? LSU and Florida had offers to them before they even hit the portal. And baseball is a sport where our boosters absolutely refuse to pony up to keep our best players from being poached.

If I don't see a daily tweet of Grubb eating a danish with a script A on it, I'm assuming the worst!

How about a cinnamon roll? Would that suffice?

I don’t really think posting on a meaningless message board defines anything about me. But people’s reactions to something they don’t like tells you a lot about them. No response is always an option.

People’s intellect when dealing with things they don’t like is amusing.

People who seem to get off on trolling on message boards for gratification is a mystery to me

Seems like that just happened in football. And I didn't say baseball was absent that stuff. Just that it wasn't as rampant.

A CBA is the only way to get the court system to back off of striking down league rules it doesn't approve of. Problem is that once you make them employees and let them participate in collective bargaining you run into the issue of wildly disparate interests across various sports and the various subdivisions of college athletics. I just don't see how you get that to work. Like let's say the schools signal an openness to revenue sharing. On the athletes' side, how do you get the football and men's basketball teams that bring in like 90% of the overall revenue to agree to equal revenue sharing with the women's golf team that brings in like 0.001% of the revenue?

You don't. To go back to my comparison to the Panic of 1907, ultimately Morgan and his group of powerbrokers had to get special allowances from the Roosevelt White House to not deny the takeovers by US Steel because they were necessary to stave the depression off under their plan.

It's going to take some time but it will never happen with a unified front. But a compromise can be met with the government that rationalizes the sport under labor relationships rather than amateurism.

The only compromise should be to tell these lawyers to stuff, we are nit going to even offer scholarships anymore, and at that point the outcry against the greedy lawyers, "taking away scholarships" to minorities will make these greedy scum back off.

The NCAA were idiots.

Sorry for derailing by the way. My opinion at this juncture: Grubb will be our OC in game 1 this year.

You made me laugh with this one. "When I post retarded garbage on a message board, that says nothing about me. If someone says "Wow that's some retarded garbage you've posted," that tells me a lot about them."

Grubb: to the Seahawks (Hopefully)

I don't think he will be getting that position. He only has two years as an OC at a major college, UW. He has 2 years at Fresno St as well, but that won't mean much. He also had Penix both years at Washington, so there would be concerns about whether it was the offense or the player. I think if he has a successful year or two years here, then it would be a concern. But as a new head coach following someone like Carroll, that would be a huge gamble.

His qb from FresnoSt threw for nearly 7000 yards in 2 seasons and was drafted in the 4th round by the Saints.
