I think the longer it goes without an announcement the less likely it's grubb

Not saying he will or won’t but if people have interviewed twice and he hasn’t interviewed yet at all, it looks like he will be here next year

Seahawks podcast said the decision will be made rather quickly and possibly by tomorrow afternoon.

Grubb is so good, he doesn't need to interview. I'm thinking he has already been offered the job, and all these interviews are for when he turns it down.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Grubb has to have signed his contract if he's out recruiting for us right? And I doubt his contract doesn't have a buyout the Seahawks would have to pay.

Seahawks obviously have a very high opinion of Grubb. However, Grubb may simply not have any interest in coaching in the NFL at present. He seems to enjoy developing young players. If he is successful and Bama, he will have his pick of head coaching offers in the future.

Somebody on twitter claiming it's in fact a done deal with him going to the Seahawks but I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah, best to reserve judgment. Too many tweets about Lanning to Bama as a done deal to count.

Sorry he doesn’t post a picture online in Bama gear every time he takes a shite.

Does he have the roll over or under, though???

I watched Saturday Morning Inspection podcast. They believe
Engstrand is the perfect candidate.

I am not saying this out of self-interest ... entirely ... I also think Engstrand is the better hire.

Jared FREAKIN Goff is 2nd only to Patrick Mahomes in passing yards over the last several seasons. I think Engstrand is one of those young guys who will be an NFL HC in 2-3 seasons.

Geno Smith just signed a 3 year $75m dollar deal with Seattle in 2023.

Who would want to coach an NFL team with him as your QB for the next 2 years?

Drew Lock showed some flashes while he was in this year, so who knows what direction they end up going. Seattle is also loaded at the WR position as well, so there are definitely worse offenses in the NFL to OC.

Which is exactly what you want in an OC. Hire a talented passing game coordinator to learn everything he can from the OC so you have a replacement in a couple of years.

I can't see them pairing a first time NFL head coach with a first time NFL OC. I'm sure they want an OC with NFL experience.

Meh Matt Rhule did it with Joe Brady. Of course we see how that worked out but it wouldn't be the first time. If this does happen I see Seattle drafting Penix to stash brnhind Geno. Of course Geno will have Grubb accidently spill scolding hot Starbucks on his throwing hand and he will lose his job.

I bet Engstrand is announced as the new OC of the Seahawks Saturday afternoon.

I have serious doubts Grubb is going anywhere based on who’s reporting this. But if he were, I’d look no further than Kirby Moore. He’s OC at Missouri and a DeBoer guy. Worked with DeBoer and Grubb at Fresno State.
