Why can’t the members of this board handle a little disagreement? Can’t we all be better than this?

It's rarely a simple matter of disagreement but the manner and frequency and refusal to see the possible good. Others don't want to be your sounding board or venting outlet if that's what you primarily do. It gets old quickly and is usually wrong anyway. But if you do it respectfully, with legitimate hope and let it go quickly enough, you will usually be fine. There's not much worse than a male bitch.

The hungrier the better; I like it.

DeBoer picking up some momentum, and it sounds like the team (from the Booker interview I posted on the board) are liking his energy, and they are all connecting.

Spring ball cant get here fast enough. Hope we have 90K in attendance

This seems like more of a move to get a sold recruiter on the staff. Surprised he took the Co-DC role, but he did not have a great season last year in Buffalo.

However, he has strong ties to Texas, especially the Dallas area.

A lot of DeBoer's hires seem to be trying to bring in guys with experience in the south. I think that's a smart approach.

He was making less than 650K at Buffalo.

I'm on record saying I believed Kiffin was the safest hire. (Maybe not for the BOT wives, but for the football team)

I'm also on record saying that I like DeBoer a lot, and it really appears he could be the next big time coach with much more potential than even Kiffin, but we have seen these types of coaches come and go so it's a wait and see situation.

Either way DeBoer was hired, and I'm now firmly in the support DeBoer camp.

It's been a long week with all that has happened. We could pull apart most anyones post history and find moments of uncertainty through all this.

Dang dude, I just realized youre reading through my post history looking for "gotcha" post.
Your analytical abilities continue to fail you. I was a couple of days late in reading the board, so I've been catching up and responding. So, if I was stalking, I was stalking the entire board. I never clicked on your name.

I've been responding and primarily upvoting off and on for several hours.

Just seems like every time we almost get this thread back on track, you and the other guy I just kindly responded to, even though he was actually insulting me, fling a little mud, and then try to point the finger in the other direction if anyone speaks up for themselves.

Why not ignore post you dont like, and stop picking fights ?

You've been chasing my post around for days. Cant possibly be a coincidence,... but lets just say it is. My bad. I made a mistake. Please leave me alone, or ignore me. I truly have had enough conversing with you.

I like the Buffalo coach, but it would have been amazing to bring in Karl Scott to coach the DBs (as unlikely as it is haha)

Saw Linguist was Michigan's Co-DC for about 100 days after leaving Dallas and before joining Buffalo.

I agree. 3-4 is great when our DL can get to the qb without sending help. We haven’t had that in awhile now.

He was 14-23 as HC at Buffalo. Woof. That said, you can be an unsuccessful HC (for any number of reasons), and still be a really good assistant coach. Sounds like he did well as DB coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

IMO, the DL did a pretty damn good job of affecting the QB this past season. The sack numbers weren’t eye popping from any individual DL, but as a group they seemed to affect the QB and pocket more so last year than in the previous two years. Hope they continue to develop/improve, specifically James Smith - in limited time last year, he looked like he could be a serious disrupter in the inside with more experience.

As it stands today, we will return every defensive linemen other than Eboigbe.
