Awesome. Very excited to see who is hired on the defensive side.

Been reported that Washington co-dc/safety coach Chuck Morrell is probably coming as well

Hopefully they hire someone who knows how to recruit the southeast.

Found this on Scott Huff:

quote:

In 2022, he helped return the UW offense to its highest heighths, Washington led the nation in both passing offense (369.8 yards per game) and third-down conversions (57 percent) while also finishing second in total offense (515.8 yards per game). Just one season earlier, Washington finished the season 73rd in pass offense and 114th in total offense.

The Husky o-line also paved the way for the FBS's No. 25-ranked rushing offense, and allowed just seven sacks all season, the second-fewest in the nation. Four of UW's five starting linemen received some level of All-Pac-12: first-teamer Jaxson Kirkland, second-teamer Troy Fautanu and honorable mention honorees Henry Bainivalu and Corey Luciano.

Seven sacks allowed across 13 games?

He had some really good coaches back at Washington, especially on the offensive side. I’m super stoked to see who the staff fills out in the next few days or so.

Yeah, if a really strong hire is made for that role, I think all of us will breathe a little easier.

A chunk of that is Penix. He has similar pocket movement to Mac Jones and will throw a quick dart in the ground over being sacked

It’s not looking good since he’s letting the great recruiters currently on the staff walk.

How do you know these guys aren’t walking of their own accord because they *checks notes* were specifically interested in working under Saban?

"There will be a touch of Washington in there," DeBoer says of his staff. "I understand there needs to be some SEC ties, some Southeast ties that can help bridge the gap of maybe my experiences here."

I think he understands he needs to add staff familiar with the SEC. He's not just gonna bring how whole UW staff.

I think we’ll probably keep Roach, Gillespie, and the rest of the defense + QB will be filler with good recruiters

Grubbs is also from an OL background, so OL should be covered extensively

I think you can add Grubb to the list. I don't think he's getting the Washington job, it looks to be Kingsbury's to lose.

I hope you’re right. I just didn’t want to add him because I’m just reposting what someone else put on Twitter. I am in no way connected enough to know a single damn thing and make guesses hahahahha

I hope you're correct. We need Grubb over any of those others.
