I kind of think it would be a really tough and close game

Fully healthy Bryce and a solid game from BoB would hopefully get it done but I think these coordinators are TERRIBLE

Idk why it would be controversial to say TCU could win that game

What SEC are y’all watching? The SEC, in particular the West, is terrible this year.

Just look at how the division faired out of conference and against the SEC East this year.

Texas A&M just beat the division champion. Texas A&M lost to a .500 Sun Belt team.

TAMU has the talent to beat almost everyone in the country. Jimbo just decided not to work for about 90% of their games this season.

OSU is out forsure, a loss of that margin, even to a top 5 team at home last game of the season is nail-in-the-coffin. The committee isn’t going to set up the possibility for them to play again. That rematch has no selling factor, that’s KO in the first round material. Last year the Georgia/Alabama game was something people wanted to see again, Michigan/OSU did not and doesn’t this year.

After tonight, if things hold up , we might be looking at this:
1. Michigan
2. Georgia
3. TCU
4. USC

Maybe. But I don't see any of those four teams losing.

Michigan gets Purdue. Lol.

They just got worked at home and Notre Dame (their best win) just lost and is now 8-4.

And our best win is who? Arkansas or Ole Miss both on the road or Mississippi St. at home? All of those have 4 losses so it's not like we have any great wins either. I still want to get in but I think the Bama fatigue will get us in the end even if some teams lose.

At least with Bama over OSU the committee is less likely to get an infamous semifinal beatdown.

This right here.

This will 100% be the rankings.

I think you're right. And I think Bama gets in with a TCU loss to K State, which I think is very possible.

Go look at the MSB thread of the same topic. It's all Ohio State.
Arguments:
1. 1 loss v. 2 losses
2. Better loss
3. Better win (Penn State)
4. All wins by 10+

IMO:
You have to decide whether 2 losses by one play each game is worse than 1 loss by multitudes of plays is worse.

Even if you agree the 1 loss v. 2 losses is "even", then looking at the wins becomes another argument.

Does winning by 10+ over a lesser schedule beat wins over a better schedule, which included 3 games of winning by 1 play at, or essentially , the end of the game?

Most talking heads say Bama over OSU. I think that’s the case. I don’t care either way as we are playing with house money and that makes us dangerous to everyone.

IMO, for us to have any chance, we need both TCU and USC to lose....

If we are 5 I don’t see how both have to lose?

Absolutely K.State has a good shot.
They were up 28-10 in the October game, before self destructing in the 2nd half.
Also, Utah already beat USC a few weeks, so it can happen again.
Next week, we are BIG Utes/K.State fans.

I believe a team led by a healthy Bryce Young like we saw yesterday can beat anyone in the country. Not saying that we would, just that we could if we play the right way.

Not with a defense that simply refuses to account for a running QB.

I agree...To all those who don't wanna see this team in the playoff. Our guys will give far more effort in a playoff game compared to a bowl game, with nothing on the line.

Like I said, we could beat anyone, not that we necessarily would. We would need the defense to get a few stops and turnovers and not give up a ton of big plays. We have the capability to do that, but we actually have to do it.

Better loss

The committee will not see their loss by 22 as a “better loss” at all. That’s the one that will kill them.
