This will *hopefully* make the future Alabama teams better, at least until expanded playoff starts. You must play bell to bell and cannot afford to lose games by any margin to anybody. If they only dropped the L to Tennessee they’d be in. ...

It’ll be like Cincinnati, the record alone allows them to be there, forget strength of schedule and signature wins. The media will celebrate them as the underdog, they’ll get blown out and that will be the end of it. ...

You have to keep in mind that they’re also thinking about what teams would draw good ratings to appease the TV sponsors. Nobody wants to see Ohio State/Michigan again after them getting whooped at home by 20+. They prevented it last year too and that says a lot. ...

OSU is out forsure, a loss of that margin, even to a top 5 team at home last game of the season is nail-in-the-coffin. The committee isn’t going to set up the possibility for them to play again.
