Brah, LSU triggers you pretty badly.

No, they haven't played a great schedule. But they've hammered a legitimate Top 10 team and lost a close game on the road to a Top 20 team.

It's better than ours so far.

It is better but so what?

It's not "better" enough to justify this notion that lsu is somehow forged in the fires of mordor or whatever and that's exactly what those dummies believe.

I'm just here to strip the veneer from it all. What they believe is a schedule writ by satan himself turns out to be....Just a schedule.

Garbage teams are garbage teams. Do they get a pass because the garbage teams they've played so far are less garbagy than ours?

It's like saying our cupcakes aren't as cakey as their cupcakes so therefore we've played a tougher cupcakey schedule.

And no they don't trigger me. I live in louisiana and this is how i get my jollies.

Our SOS is average but our Resume SP is first. Why? Because we haven’t struggled once which nobody else can say, even teams with similar SOS.

At no point in this season were we ever in danger of losing a game and our margin of victory could be even better if we kept our foot on the gas for 60min (there is no reason to though).

So while it’s true we haven’t been tested, it’s because few teams even exist out there that would test this Bama team. That’s not hyperbole, it’s fact.

Let them talk. It's the only point they can make right now.

Our schedule has been the worst it's been in over a decade. But, that doesn't mean much. I know when I'm watching a good team. If the defense continues to improve, this could be up there with Saban's very best teams. The offense is already up there.

I honestly couldn't care less. Win all of our games and it won't matter one bit.

It doesn't matter. If we played Vandy every weekend and won we would still go to the SEC Championship Game and playoffs. Doesn't matter who our opponents are.

seems simple enough. Alabama and LSU both play a SEC schedule.

edit to say that some rival fans are dissing the yearly Alabama vs Tennessee game, but as much as I hate to admit it, UT historically has been the 2nd best SEC team and they will again be good, and I won't like it a damn bit.

was watching college football live. every time they spoke about lsu, they kept saying their schedule looks weaker with auburn losing. however i noticed not one time do they ever refer to tosu's schedule looking weaker because tcu keeps losing. they always use the phrase, tosu beat a good tcu team. then i thought, dont tcu and auburn have the same number of losses.

i think it's a ploy to make other conferences look better than they really are. while smacking the sec.

You get used to it on here. LSU fans, if anything, are consistent when they find their narrative. Ever since 2011, it's the same song and dance. They all pump their chest with whatever narrative the hive-mind has decided they're using, then they repeat it incessantly. Then when we beat their arse, they all flee to their safe space at the Tiger Rant where you'll get banned for posting as a Bama fan.

2011 NC - 9-6, best CFB team in history, best defense in history, home field
2012 - don't remember this one, I'm sure it was "night game in Baton Rouge, Bama's 2011 defense ain't here baw" type shite
2013 - Mettenberger, OBJ, Landry, Hill, best offensive juggernaut LSU has ever had.
2014 - Night game in BR, Blake Sims can't handle the crowd, Running back at QB, blah blah
2015 - LF7 best RB ever, second coming of AP, coming for that Heisman, can't be stopped
2016 - Freshman Jalen can't handle the night crowd in Baton Rogue, it's so loud, omg he's so screwed
2017 - I think they knew they were screwed here
2018 - Refs cheating, Bama ain't played nobody, Night game in BR, Tua ain't ready, muh first round picks in the secondary, blah blah

It's just the same shite, different year

Yeah, but only one team (A&M) would be ranked if Bama didn’t play those games.

It doesn’t matter. All you can do is play the teams on your schedule. Who cares if they’re good or bad. In the SEC, if you win all your games, you’re going to play in the SEC Championship, and if you win that you’ll play in the playoffs.

Y’all are on pace to do that.

You’ll only have to hear about it for a few more days.

Doesn’t matter if you beat LSU by 50, LSU has won enough games that people won’t be able to label us as “no one”.

I’m slightly confused by your post.

Are you saying it’s ridiculous for LSU fans to believe our team can win in any given year? Cuz every one of your examples are legitimate reasons for LSU fans to have optimism.

This site would be pretty boring if fans of any team just accepted defeat and didn’t try to come up with silver linings.

Cautious optimism is one thing. Cocky asshats beating their chests while rocking a recent 0-7 record against said opponent is another. Surely you can see the difference between the two.

Let's not even start on the whole tinfoil hat ref bullshite that everyone has been touting, because that's a whole 'nother level of stupid.

I agree that the conspiracy shite a bunch of nonsense.

But you’re on the internet, of course the fans are gonna troll and beat their chests. Again, this place would be SOO boring if everyone was always polite to one another.

Let me ask you this: would beating LSU every year be as satisfying to you if our fans on this site didn’t act a fool every year before the game?

This narrative won't go away anytime soon next year given our neutral site against ACC powerhouse: Duke.

The narrative next year will be: Bama gets an unfair scheduling advantage because they control the SEC and the NCAA. Saban and the REC don't want to face tough regular season opponents so they can rest themselves for the back-end of the schedule (LSU) and playoffs. LSU isn't afraid to play tough games and is the only one besides Auburn whose not afraid to stand up to the REC and punch Bama in the nose.

It bothers you because there is truth to it. Our opponents have largely shite the bed so far this season. Not Alabama’s fault so you shouldn’t let it bother you. Doesn’t mean Alabama isn’t good, maybe even great. But it’s true they haven’t played a tough schedule.

Not to mention the fact that, well, what would you say if you were them?
