That game will be a war. UGA has one of the most talented rosters in CFB and Kirby’s goal in life is to beat his daddy once. I like our chances but it’s gonna be an all our battle.

I disagree. Normally I would say a matchup between these two would yield what you’re predicting. But losing all but 2 starters offense, plus what Bama will return on defense (not just starters but additional experienced leadership we missed the majority of the season) and the offensive weapons returning, only having to replace one OL, etc...

This game being at home, realistically it could get out of hand. Talent helps but I could actually see UGA losing 4-5 games next season with the attrition they’re about to go through.

Loved both of these guys. We’re used against primarily entirely different offenses than what we face today and not sure they’d be able to handle modern offense as freshmen.

They’d like to keep it competitive perhaps

They seem to possess this logic when they are 6'3 WR.

Or Clemson has a head start on us thanks to having spread offenses longer and is generally thought of as the “fun place” to play. Guess what a lot of kids like...fun.

I find it odd we can't get the top wideouts yet Clemson always gets the big wideouts. Kid recognize big WRs suceed there... how do they not see explosive WRs end up 1st rounders here?

I find it odd you have so much faith in children to possess much logic

The more I watch film the more excited I am to see Tim Smith next to Barmore in the future. Will be an incredibly disruptive front
Leatherwood would see a bump if he returned as well

We lost by 3 on the road to a top 15 team and fell 7 spots. Michigan got blasted by damn near 30 points at home and fell 1 spot.

So forgive some of us if we find this to be a little odd

Barmore definitely cranks up the violence a notch
All the people clamoring for an 8 team playoff need to realize this is pretty much a poster year for why 4 teams is fine. LSU, Clem and OSU are all shoe ins. The rest are all arguing for a 4th spot and I’m not convinced that 4th team isn’t going to be similar to Notre Dame last year in that they’ll be more of a sacrificial lamb.

I don’t think Utah or Oregon could beat LSU. Oklahoma maybe? But even then LSU has already won the Big12 shootout before.

Realistically we may be able to give them a good game and beat them with Mac, but my point is aside from us and maybe OU I don’t see 3 more teams that really look playoff worthy. 4 teams is fine imo

Clemson, Ohio St or Georgia

Oh you mean programs with either a relatively new coach or relatively new to success? Or both?

Also all three have had blue chips on both sides of the ball leave their rosters via transfer portal for the record. In fact one of them lost a heisman candidate to the other lol

Or are we just ignoring that because it doesn’t fit the narrative you’re fishing for?

I don’t remember anyone claiming he was 100% Gary
“Bring on the lights!” Got me chuckling a couple times lol
I’m looking forward to this game for two reasons.

1. LSU now has to gameplan for 2 QBs, and two different styles of play. Potentially means overloading their below-average (for them) defense.

2. Tendencies and deficiencies they may see on film of our defense could not exist by the time we play. Our defense is young, which means most of the errors are likely due to youth, and that’s something that lessens with each passing day obviously. A lot of our woes have been lack of understanding of assignments, and overrunning was he play. Both of those could be dramatically remedied after two weeks of prep.

Glad this game is at home, but this past week did a lot to ease any discomfort I had heading into this matchup.

Bring on L9U
I agree. I legit didn’t know anything had happened because Tua ran another play and then suddenly Mac was in and for a minute I thought we were running some kind of weird wrinkle.

But then no, Tua is in the tent, our pets heads are falling off, and we got Mac for the rest of the game

one play that causes for me some consternation is when we wrapped up one of the running backs at about the line of scrimmage, could never stop his forward progress, and their linemen pushed the guy and several of our defenders about 8 yards for a first down.

Yeah but at the same time that play should’ve been blown dead once that 22 man scrum formed and stalled for a couple seconds. This is not rugby and I’m not trying to watch one of our last remaining original starters go down because the refs were in awe of the human amoeba
It could’ve been a fracture which is 1000x worse because that’s like 6 weeks. Possibly longer.

The only redeeming factor about this pile of shite was not listening to Gary

Idk listening to Griese basically accuse us of homecookin with the refs then swearing up and down that roughness penalty was bullshite was pretty annoying
