I love how when anyone posts something that isn’t received as sunshine pumping its immediately labeled a troll or alter followed by the mob wanting a ban.
Y’all read something negative and turn into the cancel culture.
Some thin skinned fans on here.

There's a difference between rational concern to evoke real discussion between fans, and clear trolling that half the position groups on the team are not talented enough to play college football and have a successful season. "We're in BIG trouble, omg, Bama's doomed"
Read a few of the OP's posts and decide which one he's going for.

Read that guy’s posting history. He seems to get offended when people call out obvious trolls. It’s really interesting.

personally i think the most important and accurate thing op said was, "I don't know". fact is, none of us know, we all want to know. even the goat himself doesn't fully know how everything is going to shake out in fall camp nor in the season.
as for op's opinion on things, well it's goes back to that butthole thing, everybody has one.
ROLL TIDE

Waste enough time on here and you eventually start to see the pattern. The season approaches, random new posters show up to spam the board with hyperbole laden negativity, and then accuse anyone who tells them to shut the frick up of being an uninformed sunshine pumper who can't handle different opinions. OP will shite on every game thread this fall, start multiple threads about why X player or coach sucks, and then likely disappear in January.

It’s like that on every Alabama site. Certain posters are only there to spew negativity to make the program look bad or just to stir the pot in general. They’re either rival fans or media people (those people do pay subscriptions to read these site). 247 sports is affiliated with CBS Sports so all of the journalists who write for them have accounts.

It's absolutely insane.
These guys would've had a panic attack if they had been on TideSports back in the day. There were some posters that were complete doom & gloom, but they were the biggest Alabama fans around.
Even on the LSU board, you have what they call PosiTigers and NegiTigers.
Some people are just glass half empty people, and those people should be allowed to post here.
Should I fricking verify my fandom by sending my college transcripts to the mods?
No wonder this board is on life support. I post one thread and it's like kicking an ant hill. Good. I'm glad to inject some life into this board. The season is upon us

Interesting that everyone is getting pissed, but nobody can answer the question posed.
Jase McLellan? He's pretty good, but not great. Sounds like the freshman Hayes is better
WR? I happen to believe we have at least one elite guy, but the staff just needs to find him.
QB? No. Maybe Ty or Buchner can develop into one. My prediction was Buchner, and I still have hope that he can be the guy. I think he's the type to play better when the lights are on

Well, you got what you wanted, troll. Stirred the board up. What a proud existence you have.

What are you calling back in the day?
Perkins or Curry era? Maybe that’s before your time.
DuBose, Franchione. Price(really can’t count him), Shula back in the day era?
If so you’re referring to a time where the football program was crippled by the ncaa. Doom&Gloom was pretty much to be expected. Every Bama fan had a shitty attitude for good reason.

I only wonder about why we've had so many misses in recruiting at WR over the past 3 classes. Not 1 guy out of 3 classes has developed into a legit high draft pick caliber player? It just seems odd to miss that badly on evaluations.

Agiye Hall should have fit this bill, but he was a total headcase. Not sure if this was evident before he came on board or not. But that was a big miss.
Earl and Leary were misses.
Brooks has showed some promise, and has helped us win some big games, but he hasn't taken that next step YET. We'll see about this year.
Bond, Prentice, and Law very well could bust out this year. They looked really good at times last season. We'll see if they can take the next step.
Anderson was a miss.
Not really sure about Shazz Preston.
Jones-Bell, Holden, and Baker were misses.
So you are right about the 2020, 2021 classes for sure.
The verdict is still out about the 2022 class, as well as the 2023 class obviously.
I think that we had such a log jam at WR for 3-4 years that it hurt our recruiting.

I don't think Brooks has the speed or quickness to ever be an elite guy.
I think Bond, Prentice, and Law all have potential. Bond just needs to stop the drops.
Maybe we've got some freshmen that can step up

I believe there was a paradigm shift away from a tough as nails, physical offensive line (Landon Dickerson) to a finesse pass happy attack with gifted qb’s who couldn’t put games on ice by getting 3yds in a cloud of dust. Since then, the run game has suffered and the impose your will mentality was gone. If they can get it back, the running backs will be more productive and it will open up the passing game.

What in the absolute hell is going on with our recruiting? We're supposedly #1 every year, but look around and who do we even have?
Yes. We keep recruiting top classes but so many more are washing out or transferring out than before. Blame NIL and the transfer portal.
It's a new world.
There's been much published and analyzed on who we recruit, and who is still around 2 and 3 years later. It's been ugly the past few years.

I think the question is who do we have on offense that defenses have to scheme around and that we can lean on when things might be going sideways in a game? Every year since 2008 we’ve had one of those players and we pretty much knew who 1 or 2 of them were heading into the season. This year it’s kind of a question mark at this point.
We are in unfamiliar territory and I can understand why that’s a little scary to some people.

I really don’t think Earl and Leary were misses. They were under utilized under BOB. I believe they will flourish at their new schools. We really don’t think about how much O’Brien hurt our team.
