Alabama OC Bill O'Brien could be heading back to New England (USA Today)

Nick Saban and Alabama could be looking for a new offensive coordinator in the near future as reports are beginning to be released that Bill O’Brien could possibly be heading back to New England serving in the same capacity.

Filled:
New York Giants:
New coach: Brian Daboll
New GM: Joe Schoen
Former coach: Joe Judge
Former GM: David Gettleman

Denver Broncos
New coach: Nathaniel Hackett
Former coach: Vic Fangio

Chicago Bears
New coach: Matt Eberflus
Former coach: Matt Nagy

Current Job Openings:
New Orleans Saints
Former coach: Sean Payton (stepping away from team)
Candidates: Bucs OC Byron Leftwich, Lions DC Aaron Glenn and New Orleans DC Dennis Allen

Jacksonville Jaguars
Former coach: Urban Meyer (fired on Dec. 16)
Former Eagles HC Doug Pederson (interviewed), former Colts and Lions HC Jim Caldwell (interviewed), Cowboys OC Kellen Moore, Buccaneers
Candidates: OC Byron Leftwich (interviewed), Buccaneers DC Todd Bowles (interviewed), Alabama OC Bill O'Brien, Jags interim HC Darrell Bevell,
former Broncos head coach Vic Fangio
Side note: They offered Leftwich the job, but word is that he doesn't want to work with Baalke (GM). The job could go to Bevell.

Minnesota Vikings
Former coach: Mike Zimmer
Candidates:Bucs DC Todd Bowles, Cowboys OC Kellen Moore, Rams OC Kevin O'Connell, Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon, 49ers DC DeMeco Ryans, Rams DC Raheem Morris

Miami Dolphins
Former coach: Brian Flores
Candidates:49ers OC Mike McDaniel, Cardinals DC Vance Joseph, Cowboys OC Kellen Moore, Bills DC Leslie Frazier, Rams AHC/RBs Thomas Brown
Side Note: They slow played Daboll. They should've jumped at the chance of hiring Daboll this week, and Giants beat them to that. Moore is likely to land the job.

Houston Texans
Former coach: David Culley
Candidates: Former Dolphins HC Brian Flores, Chargers OC Joe Lombardi, Florida Atlantic WRs coach Hines Ward, Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon, former QB Josh McCown, Rams OC Kevin O'Connell

Las Vegas Raiders
Former coach: Jon Gruden (resigned Oct. 11)
Former GM: Mike Mayock
Candidates: Bisaccia, Patriots ILB coach Jerod Mayo, 49ers OC Demeco Ryans, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels (per Schefter),
Patriots personnel executive Dave Ziegler (interviewed)
Side Note: They need to hire GM first, before hiring a coach. This one will take a while, and last one to be filled.

Side Note: I wouldn't be shocked to see Flores not get hired in this hiring cycle as a HC.

Get the feeling Payton will return by next season. He is far and away the best coach on your list and second place is not even close.

With all the openings I hope to see a new wave of head coaches instead of hiring retreads. Who will be the next Payton, McVay, etc ?

I think Flores could be successful on the right team. He and the Dolphins front office clashed.

Whoever takes the Houston job will have less talent than Bama and Georgia.

Josh McDaniels to the Raiders perhaps Bob goes back to the Pats.

We'll see.

When you see how Any Reid and Bienemy scheme that RB McKennon... it makes you sad we have Leary who our QB accidentally used as an outlet which led to an amazing TD..

Yet couldn't even kind of make plays or schemes to used him as an asset or a relief outlet.

This team was badly mismanaged offensively

For whatever reason , not many colleges run traditional RB screens like the NFL and most on here are used to . Seems crazy
