I was saying earlier this year we might not get any from Florida this year. A slight miss

Lol The only true inside knowledge in this game is our knowledge of how insiders' brains function.

I just don't understand why uga bothered adding an engineering school, when Georgia Tech is one of the best in the world.

While I agree that Tech is more prestigious, and most likely to remain so, the UGA program is making inroads. My son finished up his Environmental Engineering degree there last year; he won an award or two in competition with Tech engineering students while he was there...as did a couple of others in his class...

I don't know why but I feel the need to point out Miami recruiting is a dumpster fire.

If you're referring to the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, it is ranked pretty poorly (#84 in Research and #90 in Primary Care).

Yeah, he didn't mention the biomedical part and picking an engineering school still wet behind the ears

Don’t forget Mercer Univ ( Macon, ga)has an engineering saw too— that’s where I went for my undergrad.

We also have a law schooland medical school. And even a divinity school— boom.

Having the athletic department's tutoring support probably helps tremendously. They have resources your average student could only dream about.
It's probably lightyears ahead of this now, but in 2007 Alabama's athletic academic support was better WAY better than what I get now in school

The major Florida schools don’t have the monopoly they once had. Just so tough to keep those guys at home when every coach in the country is targeting the state. Then you have the smaller schools like USF and UCF that take up a lot more bandwidth than they did 20 years ago.

All they have to do is win. Things wouldn't be so bad in Florida if FSU and Miami were winning. Yet in still there are too many upper tier recruits in Florida on an annual basis to keep them all in state.

I don't know! #2 overall Justin Fields has cut town and supposedly #51 overall Luke Ford is right behind him.
