One other point of note we finally made in roads into St Thomas Aquinas HS. The bad blood is over. We got two from there and Urban is gone,so watch out future.
Great pipeline to great South Florida talent.

All they have to do is win. Things wouldn't be so bad in Florida if FSU and Miami were winning. Yet in still there are too many upper tier recruits in Florida on an annual basis to keep them all in state.

Well that’s a given. Just saying it’s probably a little tougher to get out of the rut than it used to be for them.

Freaking autocorrect.

You'd think my phone would be used to typing out "Jordan."

It's my fricking last name.

We went from John Battle to Jord Battle.

An improvement, I suppose.

Apparently we owe a huge debt to Locksley for being a decent human being: LINK

Mike Locksley came up huge in the recruitment of Evan Neal and Trey Sanders. Not to mention the DMV kids. When it was announced Locksley was leaving a lot of schools pounced, and he did have the best relationship with Trey. But numerous sources told me Locksley stepped in and helped reel their recruitment back in and he played a big role in landing them after all.

Yes it did take several years for "they fired Mike Shula/Saban left the Dolphins" folks to get over Nick to Bama.

Well, he needs to ensure that he'll be able to come back in the event things don't work out at Maryland

This isn’t 1996 where Bowden and Spurrier could just go through the motions and land a Top 5 or so class. You have to work really hard because other programs have inroads and are working their tails off in the state.

Urban and Jimbo proved you can have success on the trail but it’s not the given now like it was before.

Locksley also agreed not to recruit Lee, Hellams and Dalcourt.

The major Florida schools don’t have the monopoly they once had. Just so tough to keep those guys at home when every coach in the country is targeting the state. Then you have the smaller schools like USF and UCF that take up a lot more bandwidth than they did 20 years ago.

Also with Florida, it's a transient state. and with modern tv deals, ostentatious can watch every game at any power conference school.

Is there anyone who can explain why we don’t have LOIs for Sanders and Neal yet?
