With the Ole Miss game getting the 2:30 time slot, Bama likely only plays 3 night games this year.

A&M, LSU and Auburn will be 2:30 kickoffs.

Western Carolina likely a 11:00 kick on the SEC Network.

That leaves Tennessee, Arkansas and Miss St being the onky chances at a night game for Bama. Though I could easily see one of those games as a 11:00 kickoff.

Thoughts on so few night games? How can Alabama change this?

Are we done playing football after this season?

I dunno - people will complain if we get too many night games too, especially the late late slot

The only thing that is ridiculous is always playing in the middle of the day in September. After that, it is what it is.

Well maybe they’ll start scheduling better OOC opponents, especially at home.

I’d rather Ole Miss at 2:30 than at 8 or 8:30 like it seems it was for a few years.

Nope. A-Day game, at night. Be original and break the trend

Is there a limit of CBS games we can be on? IIRC a few years ago, CBS painted themselves into a corner and couldn't show the Iron Bowl because Bama had already been on too many times. Was that accurate? and if that still holds now, wasting CBS games on SC and Ole Miss could end up costing the network the Iron Bowl again.

Doesn't CBS get the first choice of the college games, and that to be broadcast at 3:30 eastern time?

As previously noted, pretty often a lot of fans complain about the night games.

It's the old cliche about you can't please everybody, and yes, I do know how hot it gets at September games in the afternoon, especially on the east side.

There is a limit of 5 times CBS can cover one team a year in the regular season.

Though in 15, Bama played on CBS 6 times in the regular season. I think CBS had to pay a fine and work out a deal to do that.

It was 2014 when the Iron Bowl was last broadcast at night and on ESPN, the 55-44 game.

ESPN will show the “best” game they can at night.
If they have the choice of UA-Utah State or LSU-Michigan they will choose the LSU game 10 out of 10 times.
Play tougher IOC teams or play at 11:00.

LSU vs Northwestern State
LSU vs Georgia Southern
Auburn vs Tulane
Auburn vs Kent State
Missouri vs SEMO
Texas A&M vs Lamar
Florida vs UT Martin
Arkansas vs San Jose St

All at night. So opponent has nothing to do with it.

It's amazing how many of our fans completely ignore this point (looking at some in this very thread), or are too stupid to realize what the actual complaint was about.

As a fan that lives out of state in EST and watches almost all games on TV, I love afternoon games. I hate the late games for a variety of reasons although I understand that the night games are neat for the fans for some big games.

LSU game will be a night game.

In the CBS deal, I think 2 Saturdays during the season they get to host 2 games. As we get into the heart of the SEC schedule you have several marquee match-ups and CBS televises two games on those Saturdays.
