Should be able to effectively spam stretch plays to the right with this group.

This is the group I hope trots out opening day. Proctor looked stiff at times in the spring game, but if he gets his hands on someone they aren't going anywhere. Hopefully he gets plenty of reps against Turner and Brasswell to adjust to SEC speed on the edge. 6'7" 354 has to be on the field. At the very least he can play LG. For me OL is the position group with the most to prove...more so than receiver and dare I say quarterback. Been a while since I've seen attitude up front (Landon Dickerson).

May be this is why he got so many first team reps

OT Elijah Pritchett just walked to the locker room under his own power. Had been favoring his left ankle earlier in practice.

Freshman Kadyn Proctor is now getting lots of reps at left tackle.

If Milroe starts every game, we lose 3/4 times. Simpson can sling it but didn’t impress at A-day. You can add me to team Buchner.

Apparently Simpson ran for a td and threw a 28 yard td to Bond today

Simpson banged his throwing thumb against the helmet of a lineman in first quarter of a day. He also had about 8 wr drops where the pass was right where it should be, hit wr in the hands. Simpson is the best combination of throwing and running ability. I think he led the team in rushing on aday

This makes no sense. What exactly gives you more confidence with Buchner over the other two? What exactly has he shown that he can do better than them? More accurate? No. Stronger arm? No. Better decision making/protects the ball better? No. More mobile? No.

Alabama's open practice is complete. A few notes:

-In regards to the QBs, the top three worked with just about every RB, WR and several variations of the OL in drills, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11. Defense rotated a ton at every position with the top guys in the two-deep. A lot of competition early on that will be whittled down as scrimmages approach.

-DL was dominant during 11-on-11s, consistent pressure on the QB.

-Trey Amos had a really good day, a few INTs working with the first and second team.

-Kadyn Proctor got a lot of work with the first team as did Terrance Ferguson. Elijah Pritchett left practice a little dinged up.

-DeVonta Smith repped with the 1s at safety opposite Caleb Downs, Malachi Moore working at Star and safety.

-Was impressed with Amari Niblack, a lot of work with the first unit. I expect him to be a factor this year.

He threw 3 picks, 2 of those were pick sixes, and had just above 50% completion percentage.

And he was playing against a below average South Carolina that was also missing several starters.

I guess I'm just trying to understand why you would hold those types of things against Milroe, but then use those stats as reasoning to be "team Buchner."

It’s just the sniff test my man, Buchner and Milroe are both great athletes. I believe one has winning confidence and one is a bit timid to let it rip.

Like Simpson too. I do think we are in good hands w the QB’s but I just can’t see success with Milroe, yet. Would love to be wrong.

Anyone actually make it to the open practice? I’d love opinions on which QB passed the “eye test”. I am craving news at this point. Seems like most is just generic stuff.

From what I've read on QB's today:

1) TS
2) JM
3) TB

Also, looks like Bond is a weapon if, and it's a big if, he can catch the ball

I’m not trying to add fuel to this fire but 1 of those was tipped at the LOS and the other was taken out of his TE hands when he had possession.

That is a lot of talent. Gotta be able to get shite done with that group.

It’s seems we have something brewing. I’m excited to see the scrimmage and give my thoughts. The ole eye test.

Just watched the footage released from today's practice.

Lonergan was the first QB shown.

Competition is over. He's your starting QB.

And coming off a 3 month injury. At worst he’s a decent backup
