Ty wasn’t nearly as hyped as a recruit compared to BY. BY was going to be a star no matter where he went, Ty was on the 4/5 star bubble. Great player, but wasn’t BY a #1 overall type recruit?

Where have I said I hated the guy? I just don't rate him and stated that clearly. I based that from the lone game I watched him play last year then looked up his stats to see how he did in the others he played.
It wasn't very well.

Maybe not, but he was the No. 29 player in the country out of probably out of a thousand high school players. He was a huge get for Bama.

Let’s be real Bryce was always him. Mac surprised even the coaches how he improved during Covid to the season so that stopped Bryce from even truly competing. This is a different situation. Ty wasn’t, all the reports before spring were “Ty is about to kill it and pass Jalen” then when spring happened even the haters who were at the scrimmages said “ok Jalen is better right not Ty isn’t their yet” if it clicks then great! I want to win but to assume a few QB country videos and fake reports means it clicked is crazy to me. He has the same chance as Jalen imo which isn’t good because I think naturally Jalen is 1 and Ty has to beat him out. That’s all I’m saying

My take on Buchner has always been the same, it’s almost no way he starts game 1 or Texas. He hasn’t been here long enough, to me we copied the Ole Miss model, unless you have a super dude (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Bryce Young) get as much talent in the room as you can and let it play out. Buchner is insurance In case anyone transfers and he is a break glass option. If whoever starts sucks after 3-4 games then Buchner gets a chance to take the job since by then he will have way more time in the system.

Alabama had no one else at QB two years ago besides Bryce. Paul Tyson was the back up I think because Milroe was a true freshman and barely saw the field. Tyson had no chance to start (obviously).

I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone on here stating Buchner would be the starter.
Now it was stated that he’s been busting his arse in the off season getting ready to compete for the job.
No question about Milroe is 1QB, Ty 2QB, Buchner 3QB starting fall camp, but once camp starts the competition is on and anything before that doesn’t matter. I think Saban made that clear. Somebody’s got to step up and take it.

When you say stuff like this “If he's the guy, I have no hope for the season.” it pretty much means you have no faith in the coaches or program should he be the guy. Not saying he is. Because he had some bad games on a not great team? Who cares.
