I would, I’d like to have a beer with you. I’d like to have a beer with everyone on here, even Sean.

There's no way Sean is old enough to drink beer.

That’s never been Milroe’s problem.

You're probably right about that.

Apparently Simpson ran for a td and threw a 28 yard td to Bond today

Where did you get that from?

I just read a news article that said the same thing. Seems like good info.

If you watch the practice video that was posted, you can see it.

I saw a few things. Buchner didn’t look good to my eye, but I don’t know everything. Milroe did some good things and didn’t seem to do anything really bad. Simpson seemed to look really good.

I still think they probably roll Milroe out as the starter in the first game and give Simpson very ample playing time and Buchner limited time. I sort of suspect they may shift more to
Simpson by Texas but still use Milroe rather significantly as a change of pace unless he starts to get sloppy. Sloppiness would end Jalen”s season early if it happens more than a little.

I suspect Simpson would be better at protecting the ball. However, coaches will want to capitalize on Milroe’s athleticism.

I think the job is Ty’s to lose. I have not seen anything to make me believe Milroe can be more than a one-read qb and that isn't going to cut it.

In the Huddle with Hannon: Biggest Takeaways from Alabama Football's Open Practice (SI)

Terrion Arnold, Ty Simpson and the running backs were the winners in the Crimson Tide's lone open practice of fall camp.

I just think that it is Saban's style to go with established players and upperclassmen, etc. That is why I think that Milroe gets special treatment, if you will. I do think that Ty will probably be considered the better option, and Saban will begin shifting things much more towards Simpson.

Coach went with Hurts over Tua because of the established tenure of Hurts and seniority. Eventually he was forced to make a change.

I think Milroe got the nod for spring and that is where it ends. Hurts was the returning starter and SEC player of the year. Milroe is only a year older and is not a returning starter and in the opportunities he has had, he has not done a great job of protecting the ball. Also, there is not a need to keep the core of the team together. We are hitting a bit of a reset.

Yeah I don't think this situation is comparable to 2017 at all. If no one wins the job outright during camp then I think they'll default to giving Milroe the first opportunity, but otherwise I don't see him having an extra year in the program factoring in. It's a wide open competition. There's no leader in the clubhouse.

In 2017 we also opened with an FSU team that was primed to compete for a championship (and very well may have until Francois got injured against us).

With a big name opener, it makes sense to go with a guy whose last play the year before gave you the lead in the natty and brought you within 90 sec of being 15-0 and the champs.

Hard to bet against that.

Opening up against Middle Tenn affords us the opportunity to start whomever you’d like and let their play be the deciding factor with little risk to the season

“Special treatment” or maybe TY isn’t as good as y’all pretend he is. I don’t know how many practice reports of him throwing random ducks to realize he has a long way to go. Comparing him to Tua is insulting

My QB questions:

Has Jalen Milroe improved his accuracy and reading coverages? Does he still stare down receivers?

Has Ty Simpson worked on getting the ball out quicker? Does he process progressions quicker now?

Has Ty Buchner improved his decision making? Is he accurate with the football? Can he build relationships/connections quickly with the players?

Link them.

Seriously.

Everything being put out right now by multiple outlets is that Simpson has looked the best by far.
