Could this mean other quarterbacks on the roster make excuses?

I don't think that is what he means. Basically, Buchner is working to win the position - and if he doesn't, he just wasn't good enough. He is not going to make excuses for his failed attempt to win the job

12-26 for 155 yards 0 pics against the 1s is a Tommy Reese stat line if I’ve ever seen it. If our backs are good it wouldn’t kill us. After all Saban said he is going to play the guy who plays winning football and 2 pics with really only 1 td because the 2nd one was in garbage time ain’t winning football.

No it has nothing to do with the other quarterbacks, it’s means the kid is a good asset to the team regardless of it he starts or not. The other guys are trying really hard as well and have good attitudes.

Anyways, I sure have received many a downvote and retort criticizing me for daring to have such a radical thought

Well when you base it on watching one game it’s laughable

Eta and I know there is not that much out there to watch of him. Hence why I’m in wait and see mode and don’t use ridiculous hyperbole

When you say stuff like this “If he's the guy, I have no hope for the season.” it pretty much means you have no faith in the coaches or program should he be the guy. Not saying he is. Because he had some bad games on a not great team? Who cares.

..or it means I have no faith in thus specific player because I watched him play horribly in a game Notre Dame should have won and only lost because he threw poorly and then looked up his stats for other games and it justified my initial thoughts of him from his OSU game.

You left out the part where I also looked at his stats for the other games he played and compared to what I saw.

I'm curious how you can judge something as ridiculous hyperbole here?

I said he was inaccurate, didn't play well and I didn't have much faith in him from seeing him play poorly against OSU. I looked at his other stats and they were just as bad as that game.

Anyways, TideSaint still disagree with me?

You implied there was "no hope" if he started, and based that on a pretty small sample size

I would say that qualifies as ridiculous hyperbole

Way to move the goal posts dude

You didn't say you "didn't have much faith" in one player
You said if he starts, the season is hopeless to you

One is a lot more dramatic than the other, but do you I guess

Yes and I stand by that. That doesn't mean I hate the guy, I don't know him.

I just means from what I have seen he hasn't shown anything that gives me confidence.

That is saying the same thing you guys are just being sensitive so I'm being hit with outrage and anger.

Mighty hypocritical of you to say considering the garbage that you spew on here daily about Alabama players and coaches. I doubt that you’d ever say such bold things to those people in real life. People who have likely accomplished more in their lives that you have.

I don't post daily (this forum is either trolling, hatred or anger against those who don't agree with the majority).

When I do talk about Alabama football I stay on topic and criticize the coach or players performance (as I did with Buchner). Other times I may share an example of my previous experience or a relationship I have made through the game, godbros, etc.

To answer your other part, no I actually would say it to someone's face and as a guy who used to ball have never had a problem doing so. You on the other hand can insult me as much as you like over the internet but you wouldn't make eye contact if you actually saw me.

Again, God bless and hope your day goes well lol.

Sounds like a good ole fashioned fisticuffs is brewing between y’all two. Gotta lay down some ground rules first. No touching of the hair and face.

All blunt and sharp weapons will be allowed. No firearms please. May the best man win.
