Did you watch the spring game? He was on the 2 offense

Ty was on the crimson team. Which won the game. The backup (as you would say) beat the starter. Case closed

I was 34 when I got my degree. I'm glad he went back and finished.

Jase is a really good third down back but he's no bellcow.

This is incredibly wrong. We were all begging for Jase to get the ball last year every time that Gibbs was tackled when some breathed on him at the LOS.

Haynes is a special talent but Jase is a stud in his own right.

Oh really? The part about Jase being a really good third down back or the part about him not being a bellow?

He's 210 pounds. How many carries do you realistically think he can handle? He's only ever had more than 15 carries twice in his career and he's had more than 10 carries only 7 times in his career.

He's great at making guys miss in space but he's not looking to run anybody over.

Jase could very well tote the ball more than 15 times a game but not in the offense we were running with Bryce. We were not committed to running the ball with Bryce.

Of course he COULD, but that doesn't mean he's Derrick Henry. There is no reason to believe Jase is the type of back that can grind teams up late in the game. He can make people miss and bust big runs. But running through defenders is not his thing. It would be foolish to load him up with 20+ carries when we have Miller and Haynes to feed too.

Question for the board: which former Bama or SEC RB does Jase most remind you of?

He has a lot of similarities to Jacobs
I’d say Miller reminds me of JJ more tho

Jase reminds me a bit of TJ Yeldon. Jam Miller is Josh Jacobs 2.0. Haynes reminds me somewhat of Christian McCaffrey. Not saying that he’s as good as him but when you see Justice run he has a similar game.

I'll be happy if we can get back to running hard between the tackles. I miss the one cut backs who hit the hole hard, look for a little seam and deliver a blow to any would be tackler.

Jam Miller seems like that kind of guy. Haynes too.

With Jase, I don't recall an alabama back who I think is a really good comparison. He's got more wiggle than a guy like TJ Yeldon, but he doesn't run between the tackles as well as TJ. He's bigger than a Shaud Williams, but seeing the #21 make guys miss in the open field is a familiar sight. He's 5'11 210, whereas we've had a bunch of guys closer to 5'9 225. I think Tank Bigsby is a decent comparison. Maybe Ray Hudson if you wanna go back to the dark days.
