I wish it was. I read that in an article from either BOL or BamaInsider.
I'll try to find it again.

I don't think all QBs together had 9 drops.

Milroe had two dimes that were just well defended. He also had two boneheaded throws. Ty missed two wide open touchdown throws.
They both had good and bad throws.
Ty was not better at all though

I’ve watched this kid play a few times. He is dog water. When we were playing K-state in the bowl game their QB threw an out route. One that I’m sure he has thrown many times in his league and gotten decent results. I believe it was Branch that baited him. You could literally see him standing about 6-8 yards behind the receiver and the QB threw it, Branch broke on it, and you know the rest. The caliber is different in the SEC. I said all that to say this; this kid didn’t have the arm to complete those passes playing the schedule that ND plays. I’d bet my house on it he would throw more picks than TD’s if he were to start at Bama.

Of course they don’t… but if they are looking for a QB in the portal then there’s a reason. There are misses all the time.
You also have to realize that once a person gets into college ball it’s a lot more serious and some people aren’t built for it. It’s a lot of work and dedication. Most people are capable, but they have to have the “want to” to get better.
Film and want to are not the same. It’s easy to dominate highschool ball for most 4 and 5 stars.
This is a transfer already in college and his old coach is here. His coach knows his work ethic.

I said right now Milroe was the starter.
This could change things IF the coaches think he’s a better option.

Then there's those of us who don't post much, sitting back with popcorn watching the factions

I am Nick Saban and I'm from the future.
What would you like know? Do you expect me to tell you who all of the starters are and then call Texas and the rest of the teams on our schedule and let them know too? It's not how it works, aight.

I'm not sure how much we can take from the game. Milroe didn't look comfortable in the pocket, but maybe he was told to curtail his running some and forced some throws. Who knows. I will say that, as others have said, players can look like crap in a spring game and look like a completely different player by fall. I remember joking around with Auburn fans after Cam's spring game. He looked like it was his first time playing the position.

Some of you Rees supporters kept saying there was significantly less talent at ND, and their WRs were trash, but imagine what Rees can do with the talent at Alabama…why wouldn’t that same logic apply to a ND QB transfer?

Logic and fans do not go together

It feels like this thread is breaking off into factions, like we have to ride-or-die with one particular player or scenario right now, and differing opinions are automatically seen as wrong.
It's absolutely insane for people to be passionately for or against someone when they're not at every practice and scrimmage. Milroe has a bit more tape than Simpson but you're basically expressing an opinion on a guy mostly from YouTube high school highlights, message board rumors, or something dreamed up in the head. We should be hoping for a great QB battle and they continue to push each other while acknowledging the strengths and weaknesses of both guys.

Agree, as I'm not sure who could be "passionately for" either one, but I just want a guy that can throw. Jalen had some pretty passes/completions Saturday, but most of the time even the easy ones look like a struggle for him, or just a lob in the general direction of the receiver hoping he can make a great play. I'd be happy to be wrong, but for now I'm leaning towards Ty only for that reason.

Interesting note: Since 2009, Alabama has only had four seasons where it didn’t make postseason (NC game or Playoff) — 2010, 2013, 2019 and 2022.
It’s also the only four seasons since 2009 where Alabama failed to average at least 36 rushing attempts/game.

Someone needs to print this out and staple it to Saban's front door.
