Oatis will be a force this season. He will be in the second rotation of DL and he will destroy interior lineman.

He has been the most talked about new player by far.

So is he a Terrence Cody or a Daron Payne interior guy?

WATCH: Nick Saban speaks following Alabama's second scrimmage

Ahhh, okay, so McLaughlin was out today. Very curious to see who starts at Center in a couple of weeks.

DD is the starting center. Was very underwhelming last year so hopefully he’s made some strides.

Where you get the idea that he's starting center, especially when dalcourt was injured?

He outplayed Dalcourt. The line seemed to be better with him running it

(Saban) On how Alabama’s center battle is progressing…

“Darrian Dalcourt started all last year and he’s had a really good fall camp. Seth McLaughlin, when he played, played like a starter, and the competition has been good. Seth was out today. But he’ll be back shortly as well.”

Am I the only one getting the vibe that Randolph is being awarded a starting spot because he's been in the program for 6 years?

Just filling in until Javion Cohen is ready (mentally and physically). IMO

Randolph starting gives me flashbacks of Chris Owens. Veteran that knows the plays but lacks elite talent. I wish the staff would focus on getting a younger kid with more talent ready personally. Cohen must not be right mentally or physically for him to be running second team. That’s the one concern I have for this team, one weak link on the OL can disrupt the whole deal. Again, see Owens last year.

Wouldn't be the 1st time Saban has done that.
