That’s because you have.

Nothing more reliable than Auburn sneaking up on everyone during the first season of a new head coach.

College football: Vegas releases latest Heisman odds as November arrives (247)
quote:

1. BRYCE YOUNG (ALABAMA QB)

Odds: +175

Alabama's top Heisman candidate Bryce Young is a pass-first QB, but his ability to move out of the pocket and make things happen with his feet is a new strength unlocked in recent weeks and put on full display during a 52-24 win over Tennessee on Oct. 23 before the Crimson Tide were on a bye this past Saturday. National media members commended Young's new-found strength in the aftermath after the former five-star rushed for a career-best total and finished with a sparkling QBR of 90.3...

Saban has never beaten a 9-3 or better Auburn team. There’s no talking off the ledge in this one. They beat A&M and we will get every bit of game we can handle. Not sure if this Bama team is mentally ready.

Since the current run started in 2008 Bama is 9-4 vs AU, 3-3 at JH. Bama can't help it if AU is at their best only a few times in 13 years. Those 4 losses include 3 of AU's best teams in their history and each was assisted with a lot of good fortune. The guess is that their good luck has run out. It's helped them before vs UGA at JH but did not appear this year as UGA boat-raced them. Typically, AU is ordinary at JH vs P5 competition; something like 65-70% since 2008.

I can not believe I want AU to beat aTm.

But it will eliminate aTm from the the SECCG.

I am pulling for Aggie… they have two losses anyway. Don’t want Auburn to have everything to play for when we go down there. We have to win out regardless . Actually pulled for AU this past week

Plus it makes our loss look better if they win out

The AU vs ATM result doesn't change the reality that Bama needs to win out to reach the SEC CG and CFP.

I expect the AU game to be a hard fought battle, but I also I expect us to win. They are a pretty good matchup for us. We are good against the run, which is their strength. We will try and make Bo beat us, but their WRs will have a hard time getting open against us. They aren't that good.

But who knows, it is in JHS, which is a tough place to play. All of the past stats of Auburn's record against us when they are good don't really mean shite at the end of the day. It will be an exciting game for sure.

I understand that but if for some reason AU's luck has not worn out and we drop that game and aTm wins out they go to Atlanta. Them playing in the SECCG will only help them long term especially in regards to recruiting. AU having success has never really hurt us but I do not want to see aTm gain ground. JMO

Bama has to win out regardless. Anytime Auburn loses it’s a good day.

I think I disagree here. TAMU beating AU is the preferred outcome for us should we drop the ball against AU. We need AU to lose 2 SEC games to eliminate them from Atlanta entirely. Out of their 3 remaining games, TAMU/Miss St are the two teams that have a better chance to do this. Additionally, we need TAMU to have a 3rd SEC loss to either Ole Miss or LSU to render their head-to-head win against us obsolete.

A win over UGA in Atlanta with losses to both TAMU/AU would still yield a decent likelihood of sending us to the CFP, but would made stronger by additional chaos in other conferences.

All this being said...let's just win the rest lol

So, unless I missed it, doesn't seem like there have been any leaks of personnel changes being made during the bye week? Safe to assume we're going to roll with the same OL grouping for now?

Probably, although I noticed Randolph in a 60 jersey in practice photos. Rather than his 85 TE jersey. Might mean nothing, but he was slated to start at RT before the season.
