There was a video of the team singing happy bday to Saban and you can see Drew in the background with a cast on still
I honestly think we could save him for after the LSU, and even the New Mexico State game and let him come in for Arkansas/AU

One more on Hey Coach - Coach Saban called into the show from Lake Burton:

Even though the Crimson Tide is off the weekend, Nick Saban still took a little time to call into his own radio show for an interview with Eli Gold Thursday night.
Saban was calling in from his lake house on Lake Burton in Georgia and talked about some of the ways the bye week has benefitted Alabama at this point in the season.

Back in August, Coach Saban had a guest speaker, Ernie Johnson. At the time I posted a link to the video the University put on line. It was a great talk (“Love you too”), largely centered around his son Michael, who passed away today.

The love and devotion @TurnerSportsEJ and Cheryl gave their son Michael was an honor and a joy to witness and share. Our hearts are with Ernie and the Johnson family as they grieve the loss of their beautiful son. May their story continue with the sweetest of memories.

Talk me off the ledge but tge way AU is playing they are going to be a tough out and given our history in JH I don't like Bama's chances

Not sure what you want people to say. On paper Bama is not just better, Bama is significantly better IMO. But that hasn’t stopped AU from giving Bama a tough game from time to time and even winning on a few occasions. Especially at JHS. But if this team is truly a title contender they’ll show up ready to play.

We will have hard time containg Nix and that run game. I know it won't be but should be a pick em there as of now, that fan base and team feeds of momentum more than any other school, I'm afraid A&M is the last ones that can stop it,
Side note how do running Aub QBs never get a as much as a scratch? Basically 6 years of Newton, Marshall and Nix and none of them have ever missed a game or even been slightly hobbled, steroids?

Saban has never beaten a 9-3 or better Auburn team. There’s no talking off the ledge in this one. They beat A&M and we will get every bit of game we can handle. Not sure if this Bama team is mentally ready.

Alabama is actually very good at stopping the run this year, 6th in the nation and only give up 87 yards a game. Tennessee and Ole Miss, two of the best teams in the country at running the ball, couldn't run very well against the Tide.
Ole Miss pretty much shut down Auburn's offense the 2nd half of the game.
If Bama can shut down Auburn's run game, I'll take the very slim chance that Nix can beat Bama by passing the ball.

Ole Miss held AU to 3 points in the 2nd half. But retarded Lane Kiffin passed up 12 points via chip shot red zone FGs (for failed 4th down plays). It's arguable that Ole Miss, even with it's top 3 WRs, QB and a few OL injured, could've/should've won the game 32-31.

Well at least Bama will head to the Barn with a FG kicker unlike Cade Foster.
It is going to be a real struggle to beat AU at their place.
But the only thing that matters is Beat LSU

There was some talk years ago about Ekiyor playing center but that never materialized.
Ekiyor was one of the highest ranked centers in the country out of HS, and he did start his career at UA at Center. He has the feet to pull from C, and he is a big powerful anchor.
The original sin that has us in this mess was not moving Ekiyor back to center the day Landon moved on. Nothing more frustrating than watching this team struggle while knowing its not the players faults, but the coaches not getting them in position to have success. Owens at RT is a disaster, and I know Marrone can see that when he watches the film so... what can you do ?

Needing to beat Auburn at the voodoo palace with the West on the line doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies. Feel like I’ve see this move before.
