My fear is the offense will have repeated 3 and outs, the defense plays well but eventually gets tired and starts giving up huge chunks of yards.

I hope I'm wrong and it doesn't work that way but I'm very concerned. Can Bama win? Maybe, but that offensive line is going to have to play WAAAAAAY better than they have.

Against Texas, Milroe threw for 255 yards at 9.44 ypa and 2 TDs. Yes, his 2 ints were bad and costly, just like Mac's 2 vs AU in an early start for him, which were bad and even more costly. JM is arguably the best Bama has got at this time. JM didn't have Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, Waddle and Metchie as WR, along with a competent OL and Najee and B. Robinson to run the ball.

Not to mention there was another 50 yds and 2 scores I saw Milroe complete that got called back for weak penalties. Would've brought his stats to 305, 10.51 ypa, and 4 TDs.

Could've changed the game, helped his confidence more, and we probably never see Buchner/Simpson against USF.

But they got erased and we all know what happened after that

We definitely did the last time I worried about this game.

The only outcome that would surprise me is a penalty free, concentrated effort from Bama for 60 minutes. Sad to say.

Yeah, I want to have hope that we could put together a good game, but I just can’t allow myself to believe that with this offense.

Sure, we could hit a few deep balls for scores. Milroe could bust some long runs. However, at some point we have to be able to sustain drives and methodically drive the ball down the field to be successful. Right now, I don’t think we have the QB or offensive line to do that on a consistent basis.

I mean you can't make this stuff up lol. You entire post is just a personal shot and you are irrational angered at the fact I dare to respond or defend myself.

Not angry at all, nor was it an attack - just trying to help - you and us. It's ugly and almost creepy to be involved with someone self-centered and blind to their own persona. It's a pity because you have something to contribute.

You will find in life that when someone overtly pursues praise and affirmation, others rarely give it to them. It's human nature. Leave references to yourself out of your communications and life will be more pleasant and easier for you.

Clearly not or he would not have played Buchner and Simpson.

i wasnt as upset with milroe's 2 ints against texas as i was his terrible ball placement. 2 walk in td's were wiped out because his guys had to make acrobatic catches. he literally tackled his own guys with bad ball placement. then he completely whiffed on the wheel route that quite possibly couldve been a td. pressure no pressure, milroe has to much bad ball placement to be a championship qb.

the 2 ints, that will be commonplace with milroe as long as he stares down receivers.

I am who I am good or bad. I mean no harm to anyone here even those who don't wish me well and those who make things personal which is what you have done.

I don't even care to have this discussion, I just won't cower and will defend myself.

Anyways God bless and goodbye lol.

There's a reason Saban is saying this so publicly, and it's not because of how much Milroe has "won" the job.

It is what is is. We're going to try to make it with Milroe as QB1. I hope he grows quickly.

Then why was he benched last week?

Would really like to know what happened at the player meeting last week to go from:
-Milroe being the cause of the Texas loss
-Milroe gets benched and Simpson looks like a functional passer when he isn’t getting sacked
-Now Simpson is benched, Milroe is the guy and doesn’t have anything to prove.

I’ll reserve comment until after I see what things look like post Ole Miss, but wow.

Come on man. This is a huge stretch. I mean yeah when Simpson actually let go of the football it looked fine, but it's not like he was out there slinging dime after dime like Tua or something. Our OL is bad enough as it is, so spotting the defense an extra 2 coverage sacks every game because the QB is paralyzed by indecisiveness ain't it. If he was Vanilla Tua you live with him holding the ball too long, but he's not.

This shite is a total clusterfrick behind the scenes and I don't believe a word coming out of Saban's mouth about it at this point. That is not really meant as a criticism of him either. I think he's just bullshitting to the media in an effort to keep the locker room as together as possible to ride out what is looking like a lost season. I do think that based on what we have seen Milroe probably is the best of a bunch of bad options though. He's going to commit a dozen or more inexplicably bad turnovers, but when he's not throwing the ball to the wrong team the offense at least looks somewhat functional. It did not look at all functional with Buchner or Simpson.

The worst part is Saban will lose a game next year before he considers replacing Milroe.

I think people conflate being a pocket passer style QB with consistency.

I don’t know what’s up. Maybe Simpson doesn’t practice well, maybe he’s a massive gunslinger, maybe he’s immature. But I think we can conclusively say that a piece is missing
