Another fricking run on a wild pitch.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.

Can’t remember the last time I saw a team give up runs on balls going through the catcher’s legs 3 times in 1 game. Just truly awful baseball

1-2 in four straight series against different levels of competition. You can't say Bohannon hasn't brought consistency to the program.

Southern Miss has a better program than we do. I’d hardly call it an embarrassment.

I think Bohannon is done now. This was one of the series he simply had to get. You can’t just keep finding ways to lose.

Agreed. State is awful. We should have swept them and couldn't even win the series. We have too much experience and talent to lose these games.

A season, I fear, that is no longer on the brink.

Alabama baseball suffered an 8-4 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Crimson Tide is now 23-10 overall and 4-8 in Southeastern Conference play.
Things were tied at two apiece after one inning of play with State adding a run in the top of the third. Alabama then took the lead thanks to a two-run home run from Drew Williamson in the bottom of the fifth. Both teams were scoreless through the sixth with a two-run seventh giving Mississippi State the lead once again. The Bulldogs added two more in the eighth and one in the ninth for the series-clinching win.
Grayson Hitt posted a quality start for the Crimson Tide, but it was not enough on Saturday. The junior allowed three runs on four hits and four walks with a career-high nine strikeouts across his 6.0 innings of work. Mississippi State reliever Nate Dohm (4-3) picked up the win while Aidan Moza (0-1) was tagged with the loss.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"It was the same story in SEC play for us. We just weren't good enough in the bullpen tonight. Grayson Hitt gave us a good start. We did some good things offensively, and Mississippi State made two amazing defensive plays that saved two runs. We're just obviously having a hard time closing games out."

Have we hung our preseason top 25 banner yet? Nobody can take that away from us.

Not sure how we are 17th RPI…weak OOC schedule and lost every series albeit against good teams not named MSU

Definitely time to move on from Bo. At some point you have to actually get decent results.

That's about it. WE do have the "hope we make it to Hoover" rally in a month or so to look forward to.

I share this opinion now as well, I gave him a lot of rope because the program was in the dumpster and trying to make a climb up the SEC ladder is an absolutely daunting task but at this point and after so many years, you kind of run out of excuses. I think it's time to bring in a new guy and see what he can do.
