Alabama freshman DL Antonio Alfano enters NCAA transfer portal (BamaOnLine)

Prayers and best wishes for Antonio.

Thanks for the update and links, surge. Hope Alfano finds what he needs. I was holding out hope he'd stick it out, but I guess not.

Travell Dixon wasn’t a five star but I don’t think he made it through spring practice

What a fricking quitter. I’m absolutely disgusted with him. If you’ve got issues then fine, but you did make a commitment so handle it the right way.

Energy vampire. Obviously the problem is between the ears. We need to be careful about recruiting these head cases, no matter how talented they might be.

Rolando McClain was a headcase and that turned out pretty well for us... Shouldn't just give up on someone who has issues... Saban and the staff CAREFULLY do their due diligence when recruiting these kids... From what I've seen they don't bring in many bad apples... With that said I hate to see this... Kid would have been a monster for us but I pray that he gets himself together.. There are MANY more important things in life than football.

Rolando McClain was a crazy headcase... not a weak one.

Rolando was leaking at Bama. But the dam burst in the NFL and quick. I know there are a lot of folks, who could be described as clinical, like to self medicate. That's usually code for alcohol abuse or other types of drugs. Johnny Football's dad publically feared for his son's life. No two people have the same problem to the same extent. But when emotional imbalances hit the clinical stage, and at such an early age, chances are much smaller of being able to work around it.

Don’t recall him have any past history that would have tipped off the coaching staff. He was a bad arse until he wasn’t the big fish in a little pond anymore.

Just FYI, pretty sure Alfano is transferring to Colorado. Just followed all of their coaches and i know the guy likes his weed.

Colorado could really use the weed slant for recruiting purposes.
They could end up with a full team of Ricky Williamses.

If he's going to Colorado I assume Mel Tucker or someone from the UGA staff who is at Colorado was his recruiter when he was in high school. If true, it's funny because Alfano called UGA a "replica" program. But, he's acting like a "replica" five star.

It doesn't matter if its legal as long as it is still against NCAA rules.

Players know when they're going to get popped. We have plenty of players that smoke weed, they just know when to stop.
