Fields is having a good year. I read after the first couple of games that Eason played well. The last 3 Oklahoma qbs have been tranfers. There was a qb transferred to one of the Big 10 (11, 12, whatever) schools a few years back that is playing in the NFL. Seems most don't work out too well.

edit to say that if they don't change the transfer rules we'll see more and more.

ha. I kind of doubt that but that would be great. Like another poster above, I haven't given up on the kid just yet. Kind of weird calling these huge young men kids, but at 19 or so, they still are.

I don't know. Selling your big screen TV sounds like something you might do before you move.

Both Minkah and Diggs were around my house. Hell, Minkah was often in bars openly smoking shite with Ronnie.

I would put money on Minkah's favorite relaxing hobby being lighting one up and watching film.

Any updates on Alfano? I hope the best for the young man, but selfishly I want to see him succeed at Alabama.

His best shot now is to talk to Saban, hat in hand, and ask for forgiveness and a redshirt. Get your shite together and come back next year.

Like I said before, I would bet money that he enters the portal and then announces a transfer to Penn State within 24 hours at some point in the future. That said, if he hasn't gone through the proper steps to protect his academic record he may have to transfer to a JuCo first if he wants to play anywhere anytime soon. If he's just stopped going to class entirely that 0.0 GPA is going to totally frick his eligibility.

I see as of yesterday (9/25) afternoon he's still not in the portal. Wonder if he has started attending classes again.

Very rarely do we see a guy transfer and then have a successful career as a result. Kamara and Hurts are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

Depends on how you define success. Phillip Ely started at Toledo (and beat the piggies). Blake Barnett is now a 2 year starter at South Florida. Lots of guys have become starters or meaningful contributors at their new programs.

What's fair to say is that no transfer has done better at their new program than the guy they couldn't beat out did at Bama.

Kamara, for example, has been a great pro and was a good back at Tennessee but the guy he lost out to is also a great pro and by the way won the Heisman at Bama.

He's still in Tuscaloosa, I saw him at our fraternity house today.

Have you seen him recently? Wondering if he's back in NJ or if he's still in Tuscaloosa. I still don't see him in the transfer portal.

He's still on the official roster....so maybe he just needs this year to work things out mentally

Maybe. But Saban extended every avenue to help the young man and basically he turned his back on it from what’s been said in this thread

He still may have a chance to return, idk but he’s dug his self a deep hole it sounds like. My guess is that ship has sailed.
