So with 7-9 spots left who do we finish with?

I'm hoping for:

Robinson
Mama
Damian Prince
Casher
Jordan Sims
Braden Smith
Ragnow

We field a team with 9 Olinemen, a QB, and a RB.

After Ross P's commitment the next question is how many more OL's the UA staff will take. That number most likely is two, possibly OTs, if the right ones are available. Versatility is the key with the current group of commitments. A couple are capable of playing every position on the offensive line and a few could project at guard or tackle equally. A true left tackle is the top priority with Cam Robinson being at the top of the board there. UA remains in good shape there and is still battling LSU.

Are Robinson and Marlon still locks?

I hate that term lock. Neither are a lock but we're leading with both.

Marlon should be as close to that as possible but nothing is for certain and strange things can happen.

You do realize his whole list are lineman right?

He was just naming a bunch of offensive linemen. He wasn't seriously suggesting we'd close out the class with another 6 OL

I assume Cam Robinson is taking his official visit for the LSU game. Does anyone know when he has scheduled his official with LSU? RTR

I see us taking 2 more possibly 3 if Jordan Sims wants to GS, but AU will offer him a full scholarship I'm sure. Damien Mama and Cam Robinson will be the 2 staff will attempt to close with, if we only take 7 instead of 8 I'm sure that's ok Staff seems to feel pretty confident about those 2 guys right now being in this class

The real question is who else?

I think if we get Mama it's because we got Luatua. If we don't get both of them, Talamaivo will flip to USC or UCLA or wherever the other two end up.

This makes a lot of sense. I kinda wish his brother was having a little more success (not that I have heard anything bad, he just hasn't been mentioned much as a contributor).

Tyler Luatua was in 8th grade when Isaac was being recruited.

Not sure anyone knew that at that point...

Looks like Jax St will be qualifying Gulledge to play this coming season.

quote:

Offensive lineman Caleb Gulledge, who was medically disqualified from the University of Alabama, has joined the Jacksonville State football program where he is eligible to play this season.

A JSU spokesperson confirmed to AL.com that Gulledge reported to camp today. Earlier this month, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said he was medically disqualified from spring practice because of a "chronic medical issue."

Yeah, there was a facebook message going around from Gulledge.

quote:

"Ok everyone I have been thru alot over the past couple months. I went to my dream school the university of alabama to play football last year and won a national championship and had a fantastic year. I met lifelong friends and made lifetime memories and have absolutely no regrets about it. for some reason God has allowed allowed some things to happen in my life. I hurt my back in which i was told could possibly severly injure me for the rest of my life and He put his healing hand on me and took my pain away and has guided me to a new home to attend college and I get a second chance to play football and I just wanted to share this to first let everyone kno wats goin on and second to show y'all how powerful God is and I kno He has a plan for me!!"

He herniated his L4 and L5 in his lower back...

Wish him the best. I hope he is really healed enough to play.

I'm always a bit skeptical of doctors for a lower tier school clearing a DI player who couldn't get certified by the DI school's docs. I sometimes wonder if they're serving they're own interests at the risk of the player's health.
