Wish him the best. I hope he is really healed enough to play.
Same here. Hope he's not rushing anything. A lifetime of back troubles isn't worth a little bit of football.

I wouldn't mess with a back or neck issue. I might roll the dice with a heart issue if I didn't have kids, but neck/back is out.

Nice tidbit from 247 Sports (not premium content either

Adding Ross Pierschbacher on Sunday pushed Alabama’s lead over Georgia for the No. 1 recruiting class to over 14 points, according to the 247 Sports Team Recruiting Rankings, which are compiled using the 247Composite prospect rankings. With seven spots left at the moment, the Crimson Tide are in great shape to finish out on top come signing day as well. Those spots could be filled in a number of ways, as Alabama is in the mix for several of the nation’s elite prospects.
At running back, the only target remains Leonard Fournette (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine), the 247Composite No. 1 prospect in the country.
Malachi Dupre (New Orleans/John Curtis), a five-star according to the 247Composite, might be the top wideout left on the board. If he prefers them over Miami, Top247 wideout Johnnie Dixon (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Dwyer) could be a guy Alabama makes room for. Top247 prospect Saeed Blacknall (Englishtown, NJ/Manalapan) committed to Rutgers over the weekend, but Alabama or LSU could come back for him down the road.
The battle for Top247 tight end Tyler Luatua (La Mirada, Calif./La Mirada) looks to be a repeat of last year’s BCS National Championship game, with Alabama going head-to-head with Notre Dame for his commitment.
If the Crimson Tide coaching staff had their way, the final two spots along the offensive line would go to five-star prospect Cameron Robinson (West Monroe, La./West Monroe) and Top247 prospect Damien Mama (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco), the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 1 offensive guard in the country according to the 247Composite rankings. Top247 prospect David Sharpe (Jacksonville, Fla./Providence) would also be a take for the Tide, but he is considered a heavy Florida lean at the moment.
Whoever Alabama signs at offensive tackle might need to be ready to play from day one with Cujo Cyrus Kouandjio possibly leaving early for the NFL after this season. Redshirt freshman Brandon Greene might be ready by then, but the Tide are holding out hope that Robinson signs with them over in-state LSU and can at least push for No. 1. The battle between Alabama and LSU for his signature should be one of the most heated of the 2014 recruiting cycle.
Looking ahead, Alabama has tough decisions to make with other offensive line targets Joshua Casher (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul’s Episcopal) and Jordan Sims (Birmingham, Ala./Homewood). The two four-star, Top 20 in-state prospects are well thought of in Tuscaloosa, Ala., but the staff might not have room for them in this class.
The Tide have set their sights on trying to bring in at least one five-star defensive end in Carter or Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge), but could be left in need of a pass-rusher late in the recruiting cycle if they miss out on both. At linebacker, five-star Raekwon McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) is the top target, and Top247 prospect Ronnie Clark (Calera, Ala./Calera School) could contribute at either linebacker or safety. Top cornerbacks left on the board are five-star targets Marlon Humphrey (Birmingham, Ala./Hoover) and Tony Brown (Beaumont, Texas/Ozen). Baylor Top247 commitment Davion Hall (Texarkana, Texas/Liberty-Eylau) and Ole Miss Top247 commitment C.J. Hampton (Meridian, Miss./Meridian) would likely be welcomed into the class if either chose to switch their decision to the Crimson Tide.

Rashaan Evans on Alabama:
Get him Kirby.
quote:
“From that top five, these four that I have now really turned up the heat,” Evans said. “I cannot put them in order now I could end up picking any one of them.
That was considerable news for all four schools, but arguably no school has gained more ground than the Crimson Tide. Alabama was not even in Evans’ original top five, but recruiter of record Kirby Smart has put his program in the mix for the No. 6 prospect in Alabama, according to 247Sports.
“After that top five, Kirby Smart really came after me and that was kind of a shock really,” Evans said. “Kirby and I are real cool and he just let me know they were hearing things about me. Since I was visiting Auburn and not Alabama as much, they thought I was not even considering them.”
Evans says that the back-to-back defending BCS National Champions were hesitant in their pursuit for the same reason many programs were – because he goes to Auburn High School.
“They thought that I was a lock to stay home and go to Auburn,” Evans said. “I had to clear the air and let them know I was open. After that, they said they are going to come after me full force.”
Get him Kirby.

Bill Kurelic on Chef Bubble:

How about a quick 5 star update – Georgia linebacker Raekwon McMillan? If you have been following McMillan’s recruitment, you know he has scheduled official visits to Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama and Florida in that order. McMillan will do all of those visits during the football season, seeing a big game at each schools. His Ohio State visit will be the weekend the Buckeyes host Penn State.
The general feeling has been that McMillan will end up at one of four schools, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia or Clemson. But according to one of my sources, Georgia will stay in the race simply because McMillan grew up a Bulldog fan. But the source said he doesn’t really think Georgia is in the running. The source went on to say that McMillan might be “trending” to Alabama a little, but the source still feels the Buckeyes have the edge.

Rashaan Evans I take it? I think he is going to choose the good guys and make us not regret losing out on Carter and Hand.

There's no question that UGA would have to hit a home run on his official for the LSU game. We pulled it off with Jordan Jenkins 2 years ago, maybe it will happen again. Right now his family and surroundings are keeping UGA in the hunt.
If I had to guess today, I would say Alabama. I don't think he ultimately will leave the south, and I don't think Clemson will be a factor in the end.
