I remember when Landon Collins sported a BAMA visor to The Opening.

It's to be expected, kids who are silently committed to a school wear that team's hat all the time.

Cornwell and Cam should just tell LF they can all play together and be an amazing offense.

Cornwell talks about Elite 11, Bama, and recruiting plus Dilfer quotes about Cornwell: LINK
quote:
"He's up and down, as well. His best is better than everyone else, but he shows the inconsistency. His is more of an organization issue. He's just so big, it's hard to stay organized all the time. I think he might have had a break through today though. I think we broke through with him on some stuff that connected with him."

That's bullshite. They'll pick some scrub arse QB committed to South Florida as their MVP. Again. The guy they bragged about the most last year ended up at Fresno State. This Elite 11 shite is a huge joke.

Pretty much everybody has said he has be inconsistent, so I don't think they're picking on him or anything.

Elite 11 is just as much about training the QBs as it is a competition. For the most part, the competing was for an invite to a high end QB camp. Accuracy and mechanics will carry you very far in it, which could be assumed to not be atop Cornwell's strengths due to his small ball history.
As you alluded to, the winners of the event rarely see his recruitment change drastically. It's not really important when it comes to anything other than just being more consistent than every QB there for a few days...

“I really want to see these guys and who I’ll be throwing to and see what they’ll be like at Alabama," Cornwell told BamaOnline. "I’m going to be talking to Speedy (Noil), Ermon (Lane), (Travis) Rudolph, just to name a few. I have a list from Coach (Billy) Napier, so I’m going to be recruiting.”

Cam Robinson IS A MFIN BAMA LOCK
IT IS DONE
Per Simmons:
Cornwell said, "Before I committed to Alabama, Cam Robinson said, 'Come to Alabama and you won't get touched.'"

Stuff from 247's thread on The Opening:
Over 38 inch vertical for Rashaan Evans.
36 for raekwon McMillan
Ermon Lane vert- 31.5 first attempt
Ermon lane 4.52 (in the 40)
Cameron Robinson 42 feet on power ball
39.7 vertical for Lorenzo carter
Tony brown - 4.35 40, 3.85 shuttle
4.48 40 for CJ Hampton
I think 4.62 for carter on the 40
Kain Daub 4.87 40, 4.38 shuttle, 33.5 powerball
Speedy Noil 45.3 vertical
@TheOpening_2013: Edna Karr ATH Speedy Noil (@SpeedyNoil) posts the 2nd highest all-time SPARQ at 153.5
Cameron Robinson beat Jalyn Holmes in one on ones twice in a row and gave him an evil stare after both time
LINK
--------------------------------------------
Lot of discussion about the validity of the vert scores. Lot of guys over 40" which you wouldn't expect to see. The 40 times seemed inflated last year; shuttle times and vert seem inflated this year.

Da’Shawn Hand says trips to Bama, UF and possibly LSU in July are possible. But not all three, likely one if any.
