Our defense is 6th in the country. I don’t even know if Grants best defenses were that good

2011 was 7th and 2012 6th

So we're playing defense at the highest level of the Grant era, basically.

I would argue we are playing better defense. It's so much harder to play effective defense at a fast pace of play. Almost all teams have to sacrifice one of the two.

Also Kentucky moved into top 75....giving us another Q1 win. But Arkansas fell to 32 so it fell to Q2

Imagine if we could make layups and LSU didn't blow a lead with a minute left.

We would be probably cemented as a 2 seed and possibly could jump up to 1 depending on others losses.

Eventually we were going to hit a wall offensively and not play as efficiently. That's basketball. Oats still has us playing well, but we desperately need Bruner back. Outside of the turnovers and missed layups, the biggest glaring weakness is defensive rebounding. OU was able to outmuscle the team and get second chance opportunities. You can't give a team as offensively skilled as them second chances.

Eventually we'll start making shots again. Oats has said repeatedly he wants his teams playing their best basketball at the end of the season.

After we win Wednesday, that loss will be forgotten.

WIN THE SEC AND CUT DOWN THOSE NETS!

Stan Van Gundy on Kira Lewis playing: "It's on the top of everyone's mind on our (coaching) staff. It's difficult because of (other guards on #Pelicans roster). We've got a lot of guys at the same spots. Every time Kira's gotten any kind of opportunity, he's looked good doing it"

Van Gundy more on Kira Lewis: "He's pretty much a pure point guard and has nice pace to his game. As I've said the only thing he needs to do is get from 160 (pounds) to maybe 175, and get from 19 years old to maybe 20 or 21. He's just so young. But he does so many good things."

First time ever listening to Zach Lowe's podcast when he had Collin on.

Not a very good interviewer. He talks way too much and his questions drone on and on. There were multiple times in the interview where Collin was trying to answer and Lowe wouldn't stop talking.

It was funny to hear that he would bike all the way to Walmart that seems so dangerous though. That's insanely far from campus

Herb is playing hurt. Got to get him well. One big thing is Bama has to get the point figured out. Quinerly was playing fairly well but has become a turnover machine, he's driving the lane and getting squashed, where earlier in the year he showed some nice quicks and had a lot of layups.

Come on everyone the board sport in here was hate on Reese, but he's played pretty well up to this point. He's also not healthy and needs to get that way. We need Bruner back.

Bottom line, get healthy, get their legs back under them, rebound and get the point figured out.

I think best case scenario is we clinch the SEC with 2 or 3 games left and then We sit Herb and all those banged up.

I think the book is out on us. Take away the 3s and just let JQ or Herb drive and dont foul. JQ gets lost down low and eats the ball. Herb wasnt good at making a shot off the dribble drive before he got banged up. But we need a healthy Herb and Bruner back to get defensive rebounds.
