We recruited Donnie Freeman out of high school. He could replace Bol Bowen easily. Still need a Sherrell replacement- or addition as I think Onyejiaka, if healthy, will be much stronger inside than Sherrell. Cade Phillips is tougher inside than Sherrell. Sherrell is better shooting 3’s though.

Brian Hogdson might be the best recruiter in the country.

I’m 100% going to a few PC games this year. Not too far for me and happy to support Hodgson.

The difference in him and Bediako? Hardly worth mentioning. G League Pro is a G League Pro.

One school belongs to a conference where their commissioner supports the schools. The other belongs to a conference where the commissioner is a try hard douche that hates the flagship university that the conference was founded on

I agree with you. But the difference and the distinction is Bediako went to college already and Pate didn’t. That’s the rule they seem to be going by and want to stick to.

Baylor’s Scott Drew and Providence’s Bryan Hodgson will meet today with 6-10 Alabama transfer Aiden Sherrell, while Duke will see him Saturday, per @On3

Arkansas and Indiana among those also involved for Sherrell, who averaged 11.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg and 2.2 bpg

I have it on good authority that Holloway’s weed actually belonged to Sherrell. BRB going to call the tipster hotline

Agree about Sherrell's hands. He gets a lot of balls knocked out of his hands going up for a dunk or a shot. Not sure if that is because of small hands or he just doesnt grip the ball very hard. But, its a problem. He is a nice guy though. Maybe too nice at times during games.

Bediako had not exhausted his eligibility. He was still in his window. The actual truth is essentially there is no difference. I await the media uproar.

Bama allegedly outbidding Kentucky for Donnie Freeman.

Also seems to be coming down to Duke and Illinois for John Blackwell. Sounded like we were believed to have been top 4.

Bama had a zoom meeting with Bangot Dak. Would be a solid Sherrell replacement.

Seems like Jasper Johnson is a good bet for Bama to get.

Freeman and Dak would be decent starters. Really need depth though.

Why not swing for Malick Kordell? He needs development, only played basketball for like 3 years, but he has an insanely high ceiling.

Probably a big price tag for the uncertainty.

We need at least one PG, two 5s and probably a 4 as well.

I’m hoping we look at David Punch, Chol Macot, Moustapha Thiam, and still think BJ Davis could be a sneaky fit. Also, weren’t we final 3 for Zoom Diallo? Wonder if we look at him.

Freeman and Dak would kind of replicate that Bediako/Clowney look from 2022-23. I like that a lot. Add in Jasper Johnson and our potential starting 5 would be very similar:

- Johnson ~ Jaden Bradley (young creative guard with good size and defensive upside)
- Holloway ~ Mark Sears (veteran scoring and creative guard with great 3P shot, minus defender)
- Allen ~ Brandon Miller (NBA caliber creative wing who can score from deep or get to the rim, tenacious defender, good rebounder)
- Freeman ~ Noah Clowney (well-rounded 4 who can score at multiple levels and rebound and defend multiple positions well)
- Dak ~ Bediako (long, rim-protecting 5 who provides a lob threat on offense and is a major defensive disruptor in the lane)

You've answered your own question.

Projects are only worth it if the price tag represents the lottery tickets that they are.
